72-year-old male here, retired - usually go to bed at 12:15 am and wake up at 8 am. First things I do in the morning are brush my teeth, take a brisk cold shower, have breakfast and work out.

May I ask why you sleep so little? Sorry, it is enough but you have more time so why would you choose to get up so early?

As for me, my sleep schedule is kinda messed up. Still in school, and I lose track of time fast, so I often look up to see it’s suddenly 2am. I’m working on it, but not much progress yet

I mean, 8 hours is more than enough? I’m way younger but always sleep 8 hours more or less. I don’t care about sleeping in and getting up 5 AM is an amazing feeling for me.

I’m 44 and I think it’s an age thing. I struggle to sleep for more than 8 hours. I wake up naturally around 6-7am and go to bed around 23:00.

I remember the days I needed 9 hours of sleep a day. Now years later I’m usually fine with 7-8 a day.

Bed at 21-21:30, up 5:30 the latest pretty much everyday. Usually work out or study things I want in the morning. I really love early weekend mornings, such calm!

Mid 30s here. Going to bed roughly idk somewhere between 22:00 and 23:00. Usually I fall asleep almost immediately. It’s been hard work to get to that point.

I wake up every morning at exactly 6:20. Doesn’t matter if it’s a working day or weekend/vacation. My internal clock is a bitch in that regard. My body is on autopilot for the next 30-40 minutes tho. Sometimes I end up in front of my workplace with my clothes on and my teeth brushed with no real recollection of the last half hour.

Today I went to sleep at 7am and woke up at 3pm. Next week I’m just as likely to go to bed at 8pm and wake up at 4am. No real schedule, but I tend to slowly drift forward. Sometimes I get caught on a split schedule where I’ll sleep twice a day for half as long.

40-yr old male here, been retired since I was 38. (Collecting a military pension, plus 100% VA disability benefits) I’m usually awake until around 4-6 AM, then sleep until either noon or 1 PM. Unless I’m having a night of PTSD-induced insomnia, which strikes randomly. In which case, I might be awake until 10-11 AM, then crash for the rest of the day.

I’m a night owl and am at my most productive at night. Then I go to bed and usually don’t set an alarm so I can wake up naturally. After I wake, I might lie in bed for another hour or two, catching up on news or social media on my tablet. Then I’ll shower, grab some food, then plan out my day from there.

I’m drowning in hobbies and interests, and I have ADHD, which makes me hyperfocus on a dozen detailed tasks all at once. So there’s never a shortage of things to do each day. But I also don’t feel the need to be accomplished every day. Some days, you just need a day to rest and do nothing.
