He absolutely had a stroke. His bruised hand is probably from being hooked ip to an IV and being really, really old. The side effects are confusion, trouble being coherent, and other mental problems he already had so at least those won’t be as noticeable as they would be on a regular person.
I’m pretty damned old and just had a cannula in my hand for a couple of days because I had surgery that required me to be knocked out. No hematoma. For him to have gotten one of those, either a nurse fucked up or he’s on blood thinners.

Here’s hoping they get progressively worse, and he sees nothing in his future but worsening debility and helplessness, surrounded by people who despise him.
