Unironically, this was exactly how the announcement at my old company went. Literally, someone getting paid millions of dollars a year basically saying “Yeah we made this decision on vibes alone”

My company’s policy is that if you’re traveling to other offices, that’s paid time. If I go into the main office, but then midday have to drive 2 hours to one of our labs or something, it makes sense I’d be paid for that, right? Same with commuting during business trips. So, if I have the ability to WFH, how is it any different? I’m having to travel from one office location to another.

Yeah, this is unfortunately something I know a lot of us are having to deal with at the moment.
It’s difficult having media constantly bombard you with the message that not only are you fucked in the head, which gender dysphoria is a mental health issue, but then are told that there’s no solution to it and that you’ll always be trapped in the wrong body so just give up and be miserable like the rest of us.
I’m very well supported in an area that’s very trans friendly and still, those thoughts do creep in from time to time, sadly. It’s very clear this person was not doing well and feel into a deep rabbit hole of self hatred pushed by all these fucking monsters who just can’t stand to see others happier than them, so they have to bring them down to their level.
Yeah, I definitely understand that feeling too. The only indicator I’ve had at work was when we were chatting with some female techs and they were teasing one of the girls about how she’s got “a bunch of boyfriends” and then one of the techs asked me if I had a boyfriend, which was pretty cool.
This is one of my favorite things I’ve experienced about being in Japan so far. Everyone is just “name-honorific” and it’s made me really happy to not deal people gendering me at all in most cases.

This is something we’re all taught as kids, and it’s presented as “Oh, they were just quietly practicing in their own way, and then the mean government stepped in and trampled them simply because it was different from the Church of England”.
What we’re not taught is how the Puritans were a repressed bunch of freaks that everyone fucking hated, and were “persecuted” for being a menace to society. They literally hate life and enjoyment of it, and wanted a theocracy to enforce it. When they were in power in England, they literally banned the celebration of Christmas because people had too much fun celebrating it.
It then shouldn’t be surprising the US is filled with prudes who think they’re the most persecuted minority on the planet and want a theocracy to enforce it, because it’s literally the foundation of the country.

I know plenty of built girls who started HRT and haven’t really seen any decline in over a year. It’s harder to build, but doesn’t go away overnight by any means.
