  • The last thing we want to do is mobilize the gun Community. The 2nd Amendment is ony when the 1st Amendment has failed.

So far the 1st is looking strong. I’m so far left that I own many weapons. I also know that we don’t want to give the few psychotic military commanders like this a reason to shoot protesters.

Socialists should all have arms and know how and when to use them. Liberals have constantly pushed people on the left to disarm themselves and made claims that only the right have arms. Very few people on the left will tell liberals they own firearms because they have been told to fear the gun instead of the person wielding the firearm.

I hope we never have to fight a protracted guerrilla war in America. We aren’t close to that yet, and I pray I never need to use my arms to protect my family and community. That’s where gun owners are.

We are only needed when the military fully takes up arms against the population.

  • The 2A solution is when there’s no hope of peace. You really don’t want them to remove the last option.

The 1st is so people can talk and work through differences. When he only thing left is to use the 2nd, nothing will put the Republic back together the same way.

If Congress, Supreme Court, or the Executive find a way to close the 2nd Amendment down. Then there’s no way for the people to fight against complete Tyranny when the time comes.

Home-grown insurgencies nearly always win. The US has never been able to win against them, just like Israel can’t win against Palestine. Insurgencies can only be negotiated with and always stop once freedom or rights are acknowledged.

  • You cannot assume that all the people unable to evacuate were obstinate religiously minded conservatives. Very few people have the means to leave their residence when the time comes.

Not everyone owns a vehicle. Not everyone can walk their way out of the path of a storm. What about all the people left in nursing homes. Katrina saw a lot of people forced to stay. Unless there are no homeless people in that section of Florida, I’m ptlretty sure there a lot more forced to stay than those who choose to stay.

Letting everyone die isn’t a good way to get people to learn and change their minds.

  • I just wish they would ban the plastic bags and force paper bags. The thick plastic bag problem came from not mandating paper only. Plus a lot of those polyester bags were so poorly made, they didn’t last long enough to male a difference.

Maybe it’s just me wanting to go back to the stores of my youth when plastic was a rarity.

  • I’m glad I just setup Linux two weekends ago. It was simple to install all of my hardware worked well. I only miss a couple of minor features like the LED software and my overclocking software.

And those really aren’t that big of a deal since I haven’t had a failure to play a game so far.

It was at least 20 years since I tried Linux, and the changes are wild. I didn’t even choose a simple distro and haven’t even had too difficult of a time.

  • Well I spent Sunday night installing Manjaro and so far so good. It’s been almost 30 years since the last time I used Linux, and KDE Plasma is really easy to use.

I decided to wipe my Win 10 drive so there was no going back. I was able to install and play games like normal, and I even used the command line to pull and build the Mullvad VPN App from the Arch store, and sign the app certificate.

The best part was once I setup the steam libraries Steam pulled all the information from those drives and all my games that weren’t on my Windows SSD were ready to go. All of my peripherals just worked and the Nvidia driver was fine.

I’m just missing some GOG Games, but Heroic should take care of that. Painless and simple.

It’s amazing how much has changed in over 20 years.
