A 27-year-old man was killed Monday after opening fire at a U.S. Border Patrol facility in McAllen, Texas, authorities said.
Federal agents returned fire at the man, who had an assault rifle and was carrying a utility vest, McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez told reporters Monday morning.
Rodriguez identified the suspect as Ryan Louis Mosqueda.
Law enforcement said they found another rifle and more ammunition. Rodriguez said the man’s motive is currently unknown.
One officer was injured in the shooting. Rodriguez said it was unclear if the injury was from shrapnel or a bullet.

Try to find reports from your local community about ICE lurking around. They will have way less security than back at base.

Lone Wolf type attacks do have a much lower chance of being discovered, but that doesn’t change that just running at a group of armed agents is dumb. No. I said this is a very poor area and many people are just trying to survive. Many are likely happy to have any job that allows then to support their families. People think it’s only white Republicans doing these jobs. The Rio grande valley is like 85% Latino. As someone else mentioned, border patrol and ice are not the same.
