Off the shelf nas? Build your own. I use Xpenology. It turns my hardware into a synology nas. I did buy a Unas case, so it is a nas style, but anything that holds disks will work. Yes a little tinkering still but not much. Bootable usb stick is easy enough. I’ve also used Freenas/truenas. I like them well enough, but I had gotten used to synology. Just don’t want to buy their hardware. I run two. Works just fine.

Chrome gets bundled with all sorts of other Windows app installs as well. The tick box is pre-ticked by default to include it. I’ve had to uncheck the box numerous times over the years to prevent Chrome installs.

I just posted my recipe for it! It isn’t that bad for you unless you’re eating like this every day. There is a fair amount of salt in it. Just have a salad too!

Tater-tot casserole is a favorite “comfort food” in our house.

(preheat your oven to 375F) Use any meat you wish, but pre-brown it in a frying pan (lightly salt/pepper). I usually dice the meat into 3-4" cubes. It isn’t necessary to cook all the way through, but to sear and partially cook the meat. Once done, place in the bottom of a 13x9" pan. Mix 3-4 cans of creamy soup (we use mushroom) with one packet of Onion soup mix. Pour the creamy mix over the meat. It should fill all the gaps between. Pour a healthy amount of tots over the top and press down slightly so they are embedding into the soup/meat mix. Bake for about an hour.

We also add broccoli (into the soup/meat mix) if we have it or whatever suits you. Bacon. Whatever. You can also add cheese on top if you wish. Make it your own dish! I’d love to hear variations of this.
