But as photos and social media posts surfaced showing Sanford in a camouflage Trump 2020 shirt that read “Make Liberals Cry Again,” and a Trump-Pence sign still visible on his front lawn just months ago, the political implications became harder to ignore.

So far, Republican leaders have said nothing.

Go to conservative forums, all of the top comments are about how his politics don’t matter, lashing out at “the left” for pointing out his politics, or lamenting the fact that politics was even brought into this terrible tragedy.

I was just reading that thread on the reddit page lol. Wild neck snapping turn from the calls to violence they had when Kirk got shot. Like I don’t even know how the moderators make a coherent narrative in there anymore.

They only morals or values they have are performative so they can use your own morals and values against you abusively.

They understand that other people have morals, ethics, and values and they leverage that as a weapon.

I’m sure they’ll do anything they can to make him look like a political traitor (like they did the Kirk shooter). Hypocrites.

More right-on-right violence. When will right-wingers learn basic morality?

This sort of thing just makes Trump’s transparent lies about sending the military to blue cities. If he was really trying to stop violence, he’d be sending the military to right-wing areas where the most violent people are.

Even if there is any violence in blue areas, based on all of this anecdotal evidence, it’s most likely coming from right-wing people in those blue areas. For example, what’s more authoritarian than a gang? Gangs are clearly right-wing, and so all gang-related violence should be attributed to right-wing organizations like the GOP.

Trump also recently mentioned he though Portland was actually literally burning down and basically a war-torn looking area because of the media he consumes and the people he keeps close to him. It could just be his impressive stupidity, not necessarily intentionally lying.

Revealed. He crashed his jacked up flag truck into the building. Ain’t no woke-ass latte-sipping libtards rollin around in hayseed vehicles like that (except for ironic hipsters).

You could have stopped at “did a shooting”. The only question is what flavor of conservative did it?

Was it a Trumper, a never Trumper, a chud from 4chan, or the rarest…a normal conservative pushed so far into a corner who wants to take someone specific out with them

Interesting he has a Trump/Pence sign instead of a Trump/Vance one. Was home boy locked up in his basement bunker too obsessed with polishing his guns?

I’m sure the GOP will throw him under the bus any minute now. But will it be the ‘undiagnosed mental health issues’ argument, the ‘false flag’ claim, or the ‘radicalized by leftists’ assertion?

It’s all three simultaneously, like always.

Just like how January 6th was freedom loving patriots doing nothing wrong, but they were also antifa supersoldiers meant to make conservatives look bad, but they were also undercover FBI agents sent by the Democrats to make conservatives look bad.

It really exposes the lie that the Republican reaction to Kirk is anything other than performative. Not that it wasn’t already clear, but their response to this attack makes their hysteria around Kirk undeniable to anyone who hasn’t been fully blinded by partisanship.

undeniable to anyone who hasn’t been fully blinded by partisanship.

Who exactly is that these days? I keep hearing people talk about individuals with no political allegiance to speak of but I don’t think I’ve encountered someone like that in the last decade. At least not in the group of people I’ve interacted with enough to know what their political views are.

I’m not entirely sure about that. It’s still so sexist that women aren’t allowed real positions of authority.

And of course, they are blatantly anti-LGBT.

And the church is much more a hoarder of wealth than a humanitarian organization.
