Even if you could wipe away every last fascist on the Earth (you definitely can’t), within three generations people will forget why you did it in the first place, and start thinking “boy, we sure do have a lot of problems, and this charming asshole makes it sound like all those problems have simple, easy, violent solutions.”
Every generation, every society, and every people needs to stand vigilant against the rise of tyranny, because it can happen anywhere.
