I see a few Teslas in town, and I always wonder about this. There was a time when Tesla was a viable option, but now there are so many better EVs on the market, more affordable, and that doesn’t come with the baggage of crazy that Tesla does. Plus, buying one now with the strikes that are going on is just unethical.
I haven’t seen an AWD EV more affordable than the M3 yet, and the last I checked the nearest supercharging station is only for Teslas.
For me NOT buying from a scummy car dealership is also part of my criteria.
So it looks like it’s basically a choice between Tesla and Rivian for me and there’s a big price difference.
Would be interested to check out some other options though.
Hey op. I’m removing this because the license plate isn’t blurred. Would you please resubmit with it blocked out?
I voted for Trump twice before I knew he was crazy
I call BS. It’s been apparent for years Elon is an ass clown. I never liked him because I don’t like billionaires, but it was when he called the driver who rescued those kids stuck in a cave a pedophile just because he didn’t get to use his submersible he had space x build. That was 2018. I’m sure there were red flags before that but that was when I lost respect for anyone who likes him.
There’s an absolutely horrifying article in The Nation (paywalled, so use 12ft.io) about the horrible racism and misogyny at Tesla factories, but the parts that really stuck out were the parts about how they get basically no job training and speed is valued over quality.
I’m never getting into a Tesla.

Virtue signaling explained in a single picture.
Oh is it? It couldn’t just be a joke? Or hear me out and opinion. An o-pin-yun is this fancy way of signaling to others your virtues. It’s a new technology I believe developed by the Romans that can be found on many media formats.
That’s basically what virtue signaling is, isn’t it? A loosely held opinion that X is good or Y is bad without any firm conviction behind it. Like, “I’m against ethnic cleansing in Palestine but I’m not gonna boycott Israel because that could be considered antisemitic” or somesuch.
It’s basically trying to have your cake while eating it, too. Like this guy, driving his Tesla while telling people he actually hates what it (or rather, Elon) stands for. God beware if I should have to change my habits in order to prove that I actually mean it.
So this dude can only hate Elon if he sells the car he already paid Tesla for?
I’m just saying it would certainly be more convincing if he did.
Maybe you can switch cars whenever you want, but for most people, it’s a big expense. And wasteful if you don’t wait until you have to.
And if you bought a Tesla when you still thought it was a decent company, you’re probably the sort of person who is not a fan of being wasteful.
It’s a fucking Tesla, not a Hyundai. The absolute cheapest model starts at 40 grand. 75 if it’s a Model S.
Sorry, but I don’t think “it’s wasteful” is a valid excuse here.
I don’t understand what the cost has to do with it. Why does that not make switching cars a big expense?
And why is being wasteful not a valid excuse? I drive very car I have ever owned until I can’t anymore. Because there are way too many junked cars just sitting around and new materials wasted on new cars that are not necessary.
I drive a Prius. I bought it years ago. If I found out today that the president of Toyota is a racist, why would I sell my Prius just because he’s worth hating?
You can participate in society just fine without buying a car from Elon. There are plenty of alternatives, including fully electric ones, available.
And a person who already owns a Tesla can then discover that Elon is crazy, hence the bumper sticker. You may find this shocking, but other people on this planet exist who have different experiences than you.
They could sell the car and buy a different one if they really cared.
There are plenty of EVs available these days, including some that are just as fast and/or luxurious as a Tesla.
This is like driving a massive V8 truck with a “climate change is real” bumper sticker if you ask me. And I bet you’d have no problem seeing the irony then, would you.
They could sell the car and buy a different one if they really cared.
Not everyone can afford to do that. And the cost isn’t the only consideration. Availability of compatible charging stations, comparable range/cost, and an number of other factors come into play that you keep ignoring. It’s just not that simple for most people.

It’s nothing like that at all
But you can’t go back in time and unbuy one from a time before you knew how horrible Elon was.
Perhaps not, but believe it or not, you CAN sell your car and buy a different one instead. If you actually hate him that badly, that is.
You can sell your car and buy a different one instead if you have enough money to pay the extra on top of the trade-in and if you don’t mind being needlessly wasteful because you hate the president of the company you bought the car from when you didn’t hate him yet.
Why would any rational person do such a thing?
“it’s a car, not a church.”
The one respectable Tesla owner.
A lot of them have a similar mindset. Their next cars won’t be Teslas. That’s going to be a problem for the company moving forward.
Which really sucks. Because it was making great strides in the movement of moving away from petroleum dependency.
I’d say those strides have already achieved their goal now that all other car makers are offering electric versions of their models. There are even e-vans and e-trucks now and they’ll only get better with each passing year.
don’t matter, still flying the fascists flag when you drive one of his pieces of shits around. enjoy.
Yeah dude, all these Volkswagens driving around really piss me off!
My grandmother was used as slave labor by BMW making Nazi plane engines at Auschwitz, so, I’m the wrong guy to make this joke to.
But who cares about how anyone feels, or actual responsibility, not many, especially the 4chanification of the online discourse
Enjoy your Teslas, and VW’s, and Chick Fil A’s, I’m gonna keep talking about this shit like it matters because for some of us it does
Fords too
And let me tell you about the manufacturing history of Mitsubishi…
What? Hitler is still running things there? Who knew?

And the better option would be to…
LOL, you pushed some people’s buttons. Hilarious. I feel the same way.
Thank you for offering up the funds so this person can purchase a new car. Truly the best people like you.
…
If the sarcasm didn’t stick: you’re a fucking dumbass.
I wouldn’t put it past Elon to track this guy down via the plate number then remotely disable his car.
CFW 🤔
Yeah, regardless of Musk’s issues, it’s generally considered good practice to censor the plate numbers.
Or just disable the brakes.
That has a high likelihood of also disabling the car.
And the twitter account
And some pedestrian
Target neutralized

I have the same sticker on my MYLR!
did you tailgate him just to take this picture lmao
Took the picture at a red light. Though I would have followed him for a while to get to a red light to get the picture.
