The United States says it was one of three countries to vote against a U.N. resolution condemning the glorification of Nazism over freedom of speech issues and concerns that Russia was using it to carry out political attacks against its neighbors.

Ukraine and Palau were the other no votes.

I mean, maybe the Russia concern is honest, but I do wonder about Ukraine. They seem to have some neo-Nazi’s in their midst (see the Azov Brigade) and being unable to support this, or even abstain is disappointing.

Charitably, one could also consider that Ukraine might be voting with the US for buttering up purposes. They do kinda need Trump to somehow stay on their side.

Seriously? I can understand not in most contexts if you’re nowhere near Micronesia, but they’ve been in every Summer Olympics since 2000, so they’ve been included in every opening ceremony with their own flag bearer, plus the events. They’re not exactly an unknown nation when they’re able to compete on a global scale.

When your military is so thoroughly infested by Nazis that your state sponsored media has to revoke multiple propaganda pieces of your own soldiers openly displaying Nazi patches, tattoos, and sigils…

…and entire companies of soldiers regularly post pictures with ear to ear smiles taking pictures all together with swastika flags and Roman salutes….
