Kennedy Lindsey had a short sword, a steel tactical whip, a collapsible baton, pepper spray, a butterfly knife and a flashlight taser in her possession when a U.S. Secret Service officer searched her backpack, according to an FBI affidavit.
Lindsey was arrested in Los Angeles last month on charges including disorderly conduct and possession of a dangerous weapon in a Capitol building.
Lindsey was charged with a woman who flew with her from California to Washington, D.C. Lindsey bought plane tickets for both of them after then-U.S.-president Donald Trump announced that there would be a “wild” protest there on Jan. 6. Lindsey posted on social media that she was going because “boss man called for us to be there."
After attending Trump’s “Stop the Steal” rally near the White House, the two women rode to the Capitol on the back of a golf cart.
You can’t trust a person with two first names. It is known.
Seems more like she has last name first and first name last

🧛🍷What is an insurrectionist?
Is our justice system really so bogged down that, 3.5 years later, we’re still just getting around to arresting some of these dipshits?
Yeah, and never charging the asshat of the top of the pile (not about that, just some other things)
But don’t worry man.
The Patriot ActKOSA will prevent terrorist attacks from every occuring.yes because we arrest too many people especially a lot of poor and disabled people in the US

There were a lot of people to investigate.
Hundreds of them are already in jail. And hundreds more are still working their way through the courts.
The FBI Director said, a couple of years ago, that it was the largest operation they have ever worked.
Also, we had to find these people. Not easy to pick out individuals when so many are masked or pretty much look and dress alike.

They didn’t have to find her. They had her right there.

I don’t care what kind of exhibitionist you are, lady. The U.S. Capitol is not the place for your kinks.
Is there a Lemmy equivalent for the old /r/MallNinjaShit ? That lady just reminded me of that sub lol.
This comment along with the description of her whip as “tactical” took me down a small Google rabbit hole, and I can’t figure out what makes a particular weapon (or in some cases a flashlight) “tactical”.
The definition of tactic is a plan or action for achieving a goal; a maneuver. So would a leather whip have no goal while a metal one does?
Tacticool is a vibe. Basically it’s black and it’s got some features that you could maybe, probably not, convince someone a SWAT team might like. Like a knurled end cap on a flashlight.
Yes, I want to see a tactical whip!
Seems more like a tactical blackjack or a tactical you’ll-pluck-your-eye-out.
This is like the first thing I found on Google so who knows what she was carrying. I suffer from had to know as well as meh that’s fine.
Some people need a failed insurrection to play their Dom/Sub games.

But it was a peaceful crowd who just happened to gather to hear the president speak, and then wanted to do some sightseeing of the capitol.
