All the events of the past month since the killing of Charlie Kirk—the transformation of a fascist provocateur into a martyr of the MAGA movement, the mobilization of the National Guard against the so-called “enemy within,” and the open preparations to invoke the Insurrection Act—have demonstrated beyond any doubt that what is underway is a systematic conspiracy by the Trump administration to establish a dictatorship. Blinders are falling from people’s eyes. More and more Americans are saying, “I don’t recognize this country anymore.” The Land of Lincoln is being transformed by Trump and his arrogant satraps into the land of a would-be Führer.
This conspiracy entered a new and chilling stage on Wednesday, when President Trump convened a meeting in the White House that was presented as a “roundtable on antifa.” It was, in fact, a gathering of extreme right-wing political maniacs: neo-Nazis, Christian nationalists, racists, and Hitler lovers. They were assembled by Trump in what was clearly intended as a signal for all-out war against political opposition. An atmosphere of menace and imminent violence prevailed throughout the entire “discussion.”
Nothing like this has ever occurred in the history of the United States. The White House has been transformed into the headquarters of a conspiracy to legitimize fascism, brand anti-fascism as “terrorism,” and mobilize the repressive machinery of the state against the population.

That’s a protest. That’s doing nothing. What happened since the last one? Nothing. Thinking this one will somehow be different is absurd. These people are calling our bluff—and winning.
spoken like someone who has not been coming out. The crowds are increasing even in the local small ones. Its up to us. There is a number that cannot be ignored. The country needs people to run they cannot kill and arrest everyone who is not police or military.

OK, it’s easy to say go do Something and not offer ideas. One idea that I have been thinking about is there is a very large concrete wall with great visibility from the road. It is in a position that is dark at night and I could very easily paint it. Of course, it would get painted over eventually, but if I painted that a certain high ranking political figure should be killed, That might send a message to other people who feel the same or are on the fence that it’s OK to feel that way because they aren’t alone.
Some people would choose to paint a more friendly message… But I don’t think we can be friendly with fascism… But that’s just me.
I don’t know where you are and what kind of things you have access to, So that makes it hard to suggest actions. Also, it depends on how much of a crime you’re willing to commit. Misdemeanors only or are you willing to do a light felony?
Coming up pretty soon simply saying the word fascism will end you in jail for treason, so how do you feel about saying the word fascism?

I love these comments. You know that there’s 2x as many guns in America as there are people right? Most of these protestors own guns. It’s just protesters won’t be the ones to start the violence.
But when it does start, they will certainly be the ones to finish it. We have the second Amendment for this reason, and using it too soon to placate those outside our country is stupid. Be patient. America will solve its own fascist problem the way it solved it before.
How about supporting them until that happens instead of getting mad peaceful protestors are trying to remain peaceful as long as they can. Even if they aren’t using them, they still have guns. So just a matter of time before they do start using them. Kirk, two attempts on Trump, and two dead CEO’s so far.
There’s a line that will be crossed eventually. Until then, protesting is the best way to show the country how much of us are sick of this shit. The last Kings protest was the 3rd largest in American history. And when it comes to guerrilla warfare, the thing you’re championing, getting an idea of what your numbers are before engaging the enemy is basic strategy. Don’t look at it as a protest, look at it as a show of force of how many Americans want to use their guns to defend against Tyranny.
Why do Americans always jump to guns? Stop watching Hollywood movies. This is why your society is so ill. Guns are not the next step after words and signs.
The next step is actual meaningful protest. Organize, resist, disobey, strike, block society from functioning and shut things down until you get results. Nothing works unless the people allow it to work. Every day you go to work, shop, allow the gears of government to continue crushing the people is a day you enable them to do what they’re doing. They only have the power you give them. You have all the power. Shut. It. Down.
There are multiple countries right now changing things this way. France is the one usually mentioned for it, but right now Spain, Italy, Greece are all striking for various causes.
This is how change is actually started. The rest of the world gets it.
I don’t disagree. At all. But seeing how violent our government is treating us, the moment for the collective action you’re talking about has passed. Unfortunately that leaves guns, which admittedly, is stupid we have. But we literally have them for this very reason: to protect against tyranny. And seeing as the literal definition of that is happening in our government, I feel the time we had to try actual meaningful civil disobedience is long past. What you don’t understand is that any disobedience is basically now seen as terrorism. So if we’re going to be arrested as terrorists and disappeared with no due process then there’s no room left to be just civily disobedient.
