New York Mayor Eric Adams did not mince his words about his disapproval of what he called the large number of “nasty” Gen Z voters supporting Zhoran Mamdani, the democratic socialist candidate leading the race for NYC mayor.

Maybe Eric can arrange for his supporters to, y’know, sit it out in protest of this flagrant display of anarchy! Yeah, that’ll work!

I’m Gen Z, and Mamdani is the better candidate. I don’t live in NYC.

In typical Democratic fashion, the Democrats blame the voters for not “Voting Blue No Matter Who™” rather that adopting progressive, popular policies.

    Vote these skeletons out

You should tell this too maga first because maga is making sure to make not voting for Democrats as painful as possible. I fucking hate both parties but even I realize now is not the time to give the country over to the maga shitlords. The only way we are going to get them out is if they also agree to not vote for those dirtbags.

This is the reverse prisoners dilemma they put the nation in, they do this intentionally so that we can’t vote third party and actually pass any legislation that benefits the working class or liberty or anything like that.

you have no regard for the civility

I don’t know under what rock he’s lived for the past 10 years, but civility in politics has been quite thoroughly killed by Trump and his lackeys, which now seems to include Adams. He picked the side of no civility, so he’s reaping what ue sowed.

Adams accused left-leaning schools and institutions of radicalizing young people, claiming they are being taught to hate their city and country, which is a trend, he says, that must be addressed.

Again, Trump is doing that. He’s running on a platform of hating about half of all Americans, and especially coastal cities.

He should just become a Republican already. He’s got the credentials.

If Eric Adams doesn’t like NYC, he can just stay at home in his Jersey apartment.

Even better, he can move down to Mar Lago and see how MAGA would really treat him.

I’m not a Gen Z voter, so I certainly can’t speak for them, but I hate our country. I hate that so many Americans are being left behind. I hate that we are falling so far behind other democracies. I hate that our democracy is so flawed and corrupted, that I’m not sure it’s accurate to even call it a democracy anymore. I hate that so many Americans believe that being greedy, selfish, and indifferent to human suffering is not only acceptable, but somehow “rational.” I hate the manipulation and the misinformation that is very intentionally disseminated to the American people. I hate the violence, I hate the war mongering and war profiteering. I hate a lot of what IS right now, because I DEMAND better for myself and ALL other Americans.

I don’t respect anyone who isn’t radicalized at this point. To look at the state to which our system is broken and not demand change by whatever means necessary is to be complicit in the atrocities being committed.

You don’t hate our country, you said so yourself - you hate what it is right now, because you know it can be better. You want it to be better. That’s not hate, that’s love.

i am a gen z voter and although i dont live in nyc (i live in ny state tho so close enough i guess), i was gonna leave a separate comment. but you said pretty much exactly what i was thinking 🤷 i hate the selfishness that’s been so ingrained in people, they’d rather perpetuate cruelties than hope for anything even slightly better. i hate this country? what has this country ever done for me, a woman of color, other than prove time and again that everything i have can be taken away in an instant due to the greed of the rich and spiteful? this shit is all so fucked, if my so called “hatred” for this country is the only thing i can truly own, then let me own it with all my heart. i’d rather that than submit to apathy and ignore the struggles of those around me

NEWS: 3rd gen of systematically disenfranchised citizens baffle leaded gasoline brained old guard and billionaire cronies

As a member of Gen X who breathed all the leaded gasoline and still finds these people appalling, I think blaming their shit on lead poisoning is giving them a pass they don’t deserve. Lead may have made us all a little dimmer and angrier, but it didn’t turn most people into raging assholes, crooks or fascists, or gullible MAGA cultists. These people would have done it anyway, with or without the lead.

Valid, but the leaded gasoline argument greatly invalidates geriatrics and the old guard to undermine everything they have to say or have ever said.

“Corrupt mayor condemns political rival and his supporters over fear of being held accountable for his many crimes”
