Maybe the problem is that in Europe our news are mostly in local languages. So, if I post something I would need to translate. Or one would need to share something from France24 (English), BBC, Euronews (English), etc. But, the content is not as comprehensive as the national newspapers…

That’s not the issue. The issue is stuff like !politics@lemmy.world which explicitly forbids world politics. It’s an US politics only community.

You are confusing seeing other instances with “ALL”. I just don’t want to see what I am not subscribed to. Curation of all this crap just makes it so much better. And focused for that matter.
I default to Subscribed/New, but many of the subs I was in on Reddit don’t have active communities here, so I only see a handful of new posts a day. A couple of times a week I switch to All/Hot or All/Active as a way to find new communities, or just see what’s going on outside of my tiny bubble.
I do! I need to be more diligent about seeking out new communities and subscribing to them, but I’m an ALL sort kind of person at heart, I guess.
Certainly mixes things up compared to Local.
I just go to my subscriptions. Then sort by scaled.
