I was thinking that I can’t imagine not immediately comprehending written words. Then I realized that I already do that in German. It takes a bit of effort. It’s really surprising that so many people live their lives like that with their native language.
I honestly don’t know how it can be possible, especially these days with everything done on phones and the internet. It does help me to understand the appeal of Tiktok, Instagram, YouTube, etc though.
Oh I was thinking she was some cam girl trying to contact for money or scam.
Did I miss something? What image changes and why do people think she is a victim instead of some spammer? Got like 5 of the DMs myself but they weren’t anything bad.

Interesting do you have a source for this? I would like to learn more about the history. If not that’s ok I can try to search for it.
Yes but back then most people only bought maybe 2-3 games the entire generation and traded with their friends. There was also a lot of local coop games.
Now people would like to play dozens of games and it’s difficult to share, often you even need to buy two copies of a game to even play with your family in the same house.
I have it disabled too and most of my recommendations are the same. I have seen those same exact videos recommended and you can’t block them on the YouTube app. Default YouTube for anyone without defined history is constantly pushing these videos.
I had to never turn my PS2 off or switch games because my mother didn’t understand the importance of a memory card. After the PS3 came out I had a used one that I got cheap but eventually ended up getting a PS3 myself instead of buying a second card.
Yeah makes me not want to watch anything on there. Wife was watching some true crime and I was so confused on why they kept saying essay (SA) and grape.
You are experiencing gender based persecution. Think of men who can’t be a stay at home dad, work as a nurse, or can’t show emotion, etc. Women who want to do construction work or STEM. LGBT and especially trans discrimination is also that taken to an extreme because the perceived gender divergence is more drastic. For whatever reason, there are many people in society who want to enforce strict artificial gender roles on other people.
My older sister was a grandmother at age 34. 30’s is literally grandparent age to my great nephew and great niece who are approaching their teens.
Being early adopters many people here are tech or autistic people. There are also a lot of conscientious people who left Reddit, so many people tend to be more introverted and reflective.

Curious why you think that? Blue states no longer have any representation. Their representatives are blocked from even entering federal buildings through the public access. Their votes don’t matter. Nobody’s votes count for anything in blue states, and are unlikely to even be counted accurately in the future.
The fed isn’t even recognizing court orders. Education and most services, protections are being disassembled across the government. Energy grids weakened as wind and hydropower is being cut off.
People’s rights are being stripped away. Their tax money is being used against allies. Trade wars. Prices are going up. I can’t think of a reason for them to remain paying out more taxes than they receive into a hostile corrupt system they have no voice in, besides the military holding them hostage.
36 is almost 40? Don’t take almost half our 30’s away!
It could be a whole world or universe in there and we are making assumptions because he happened to be in a jungle with no transportation.
Yes they do match up where if you are talking about a female animal or person it’s a feminine word etc. For inanimate objects I’ve been told they aren’t necessarily giving or thinking of them as having a gender though, not like it would be in English.
There seems to be no standard way to address someone nonbinary, it’s even worse than in English. Best I know is to ask. Until then most simply skip the pronoun and use their name instead, or Sie. Since Sie is respectful and is already used for people of any gender when used formally.
The nonbinary category itself is often called “divers”. Nouns that reference gender can be combined by adding an asterisk in the middle. “Lehrer*in”. As a warning though some conservative and older people can get upset about the asterisk.
Do you know what level German you are at? My older relatives spoke German but passed away when I was young. I always regretted not learning it and being monolingual. So in my 30’s I decided I was just going to learn it even if it took years or I never fully got genders right. Now it’s been 15 months learning daily and am at the B1 level. So not an expert just intermediate with more to learn.
I think that’s kind of what those people are doing, translating the written words into verbal speech by sounding it out instead of immediately reading it.
I’m skeptical too if there are really over 50% at that level or worse but then again it would explain a lot going on in the US.
