  • scrolling in the comment section of this news article, i’ve only seen people either being concerner/shocked, and some sarcastically talking about recycling or something. Nothing about masturbation.

And if your criticism of lemmy is that it’s being reddit with elitism, then why try to gatekeep the way people are going to react to an article on c/science? Are we all supposed to have degrees in chemistry or biology before making a comment?

Believe it or not people take heavy news a million different ways and react differently. People ending up making a masturbation joke after discussing microplastics in testicles (i assume this is what happened) harm nothing and no one.

Wouldn’t a “warm hinder” ultimately become a kool aid?

I mean, it hinders warmth. Unless it’s like a hinderance that’s warm, but then it won’t be a direct opposite of “Kool Aid”, which implies he aids your cooling.

All of this to say: He should be named “Warm-Aid”

P S: I might be not so sober whilst making this comment and I might regret it tomorrow

  • Sure, sometimes it is discussed whether or not children can transition medically (p.s: it’s why they have to go through an army of doctors and psychologists), but to deny that the debate doesn’t revolve around if someone is happy or religion is ignorant.

Countless times I have seen people make the argument that transitioning has a high regret rate, countless of times I’ve seen people invoke religion and try to say being trans is a sin (what with the whole bible quote about men not wearing women clothing).

So when people debate about trans people, 90% of the time it is about someone’s happiness and getting in the way of it.
