0·2 months agoIt makes sense if you are going to Atlanta or Orlando, not if you are just connecting somewhere else
Don’t get me wrong, I love trains and I’d love to see a big network of high speed trains
ATL is the largest by total commercial emplanements
Exactly my point, people flying that route are taking connecting flights
How many are a final destination? Orlando is a big hub for planes coming from South America and Atlanta y the biggest US hub, so probably a lot of people flying that route are connecting and wouldn’t make a lot of sense to get a plane ticket and then a train and then another flight

Mostly is because it’s mixed for 5.1
The center channel takes care of most of the dialog and the rest is distributed to 4 satellite (and usually smaller) speakers but when it’s down sampled to stereo everything has the same level

0·4 months agoI had to allow a bunch of stuff in pihole because I wasn’t able to use Google flights or Google News and some functions in Gmail, the sites never finished loading

My PC didn’t support boot from CD, so I had to use about 6 WinXP floppies just to load the necessary drives to install from the CD. Good times
I think we also had the Win 95 and 98 installallers somewhere although I learned how to do it when upgrading from 98 to ME

My sister works in customs for a company in Mexico and they are definitely paying tariffs. They need to get a certificate for stuff that is covered under USMECA and iron parts pay 25% on top of any other tariffs. They have an office close to the border that checks which tariffs are in effect at that time because the official publication can’t keep up
it’s because most larger concert halls in the USA and the ticket service they use online are owned by the most evil fucking corporation and I am fucking sick of it.

For a while I had House LANister and a few neighbors joined with GoT names. We all changed to more standard names after the disappointing finale
Now I have “this is the ATT router” that I changed the name to do some debugging (I wasn’t sure which one was my own router since I run it as a bridge) and recently another neighbor changed theirs to “and my xFinity”
