Absolutely huge. Joel Kinnaman brought such an awesome gravitas and grit to that character.

Haven’t watched that one (yet). Tbh, didn’t even know if it’s existence. I’ll check it out of I can.
Yeah, this makes sense. I love the description of “charisma void”. That is so apt.
I do love King Fu Panda though
Anthony Mackie.
He has a face that is simultaneously smug and dumbstruck. He ruined Altered Carbon, he was the weakest part of the Falcon & Einyer Soldier series, and he just screams “Overrated” to me.
But he was ok in 8 Mile.
Pop sockets.
I saw so many people use them and hated the sight of them. They look weird and make your phone fit awkwardly in your pocket and you can just lean your phone against something heavy if you want to watch a video or whatever.
But I decided to try it and it is single-handedly the thing that allows me to use my Android phone pretty much one-handed. With gesture controls and the ability to shrink the keyboard to one side for one-hand typing, I’m able to use my 6" phone with one hand 90% of the time.
Not putting any of this on their feet. Maybe they wanted to be mid but that’s not how history seems to remember them.
Nirvana is still hyped as one of the greatest bands ever. Maybe it was revisionism after Kurt’s death? But whatever it is, I feel like their music doesn’t deserve the hype it gets today.
Hard same.
As someone who never understood multiple monitors, one day I just got a second one and now I feel working without a second monitor is limiting.
Having said that, I can’t see a use for a third monitor at all (not to say it’s completely useless. I’m sure some people find it useful).
Sometimes I just don’t have the time to play so I leave a streamer on in the background while I work and look at that screen every once in a while to catch s glimpse of a game that’s nostalgic and comfortable.
Nirvana. The band.
I missed the grunge movement in its peak but I got into Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Just couldn’t get into Nirvana beyond a few songs that I do like. Musically, I feel like both Pearl Jam and Soundgarden dwarf Nirvana.
Super cliche answer but:
The Shawshank Redemption
The world lost a legendary entertainer, someone who played an integral part of my childhood and helped develop my taste in the arts.
God bless you, Ozzy Osbourne.
Everything is a phase, especially getting obsessed with a fictional character, unless you develop some kind of crazy strong lifelong obsession, which is unlikely.
If you’re young, phases last shorter.
If you’re an adult, you likely have experienced these kind of passionate obsessions and moved on so getting obsessed with something like this might last a little bit longer but it’ll still pass.
If it bothers you too much, avoid engaging with it. Avoid your friend who will fuel the obsession more. Etc.
Maybe it’s just a phase? It could be harmless if it’s not getting in the way of your responsibilities and relationships.
I’m tempted to ask how old you are, but that’s not really something you need to share. But if you are young, I’m even more confident it’s a phase.
It’s nice to see there’s still space for nuanced opinions on the internet.
Because the Europeans post in their weirdo languages.
This deserves more updoots
FWIW, I’ve been using ublock origin, too, and it’s mostly worked fine.
Until a few days ago, when Youtube started detecting it and showing down the site and telling me I can only watch 3 more videos before it cuts me off. That hasn’t happened yet, but I definitely feel the slowdown. I’m hoping a ublock upgrade will fix it soon.
Exactly!
Also I think King Fu Panda was one of his earlier roles that propelled him to stardom. He was terrible in Shallow Hal (that was a terrible movie overall) but he was fine in School of Rock and I think Nacho Libre also came out before KFP?
