I’m going to get reamed on here for too many products and spending way too much money but I’m an aging female in a very superficial location, so please forgive me! And marketing clearly works on me…
Morning: Cetaphil cleanser, with just hands. I wouldn’t scrub your face with a wash cloth, sounds too harsh. Skinceuticals Phloretin (it’s a high end vitamin C serum)- this one has really evened out my skin tone and apparently protects from further sun damage. Before upcoming lotions I mist with water or Caudalie grape water spray-helps lock in moisture with the lotions Alastin Restorative Skin Complex serum-my dermatologist recommended this one, he also sells it…no idea how much it has individually helped or not Kiehls avocado eye cream Dieux instant angel gel cream Little bit of La Roche Posay cicaplast under eyes Supergoop mineral matte spf 40 sunscreen
Evening: Double cleanse-start with Neutrogena sesame seed oil on dry face-I’ve only been doing this about a month and it’s my favorite (and cheapest) thing now-removes makeup and oil or dirt from the day really well and it’s really hydrating. Then lightly wash with cetaphil cleanser. Alastin Restorative Skin Complex Dr Dennis Grossman retinol eye cream Skinceuticals a.g.e Interruptor lotion Aklief- this is a prescription tretinoin derivative and I don’t use it every day Skinceuticals Triple Lipid Repair La Roche Posay cicaplast lightly under eye
On my chest I use Timeless vitamin c (a good dupe for the Skinceuticals Phloretin) in the morning and then the Dieux InstantAngel cream. Also been using some leftover skinceuticals HA Immerse there that didn’t work well on my face.
Body I do a messy mixture of Gold Bond Retinol body lotion mixed with a vitamin E oil and water nightly
I’m still sort of figuring it out and would love to eliminate stuff but I’m not sure what. It’s ever-evolving. Admittedly I spend WAY too much money on this, but fuck it, I can and it makes me feel good. Also this stuff (at least some of it) has totally transformed my skin for the better. So maybe some of it is a waste but some of it definitely works
Tamale pie- canned corn, chili (no beans bc blegh), canned tamales (really these are even optional despite the name of the dish), and Swiss cheese all melted together in ooey gooey goodness.
Also I love the raw dough from those biscuits in the can that pops
This is the first comment on this post I actually winced at
I’m a lip balm fanatic, please share the brand!
So I would never cry in public (I almost never cry really) and I think I have just as hard of a time asking for help carrying anything as a guy would, I’m not even sure I’d have an easier time accepting the help when offered. Even when I had a broken foot I remember a guy from across the street waving me down and offering to help me carry whateve bags I had with me and I was like “thanks I’m fine!”, but I totally could have used the help. So maybe it’s just my perception that nothing is different for me…? I mean I see the obvious differences in the way guys behave towards us vs other males (and honestly I like the chivalry when it happens) but I guess, as I think about it, I don’t attach different rules to myself.
The meat cleaver thing cracks me up though!
I’m here and happy to answer but I honestly can’t think of anything! Do you have any examples of types of things you’re looking for?
Was this one on the news? This is very very familiar
I’ve had 3 of these toilets for the last 4 years and I never knew you could COMBINE flush?!
I was gonna upvote but your comment has 45 upvotes and that seems appropriate so I’ll leave it there
I scrolled this far only to realize no one said “hawk tuah”
Beetlejuice beetlejuice beetlejuice!!
Maybe it’s not crunchy enough
Hawk two I don’t know why but the girl describing spitting is becoming the newest meme
I’d like to be known as someone who “tenderizes meats without assistance”, that seems like a compliment of the highest order
I think once he got back on his feet you probably reminded him (through no fault of your own obviously) of that horrible painful time in his life and it may have just been too unbearable to be around you. And he may not have even made that as a conscious decision. Still it’s completely unfair to you and you didn’t deserve that. Your value in being a good person in this world is appreciated, at least by an internet stranger :)
Boat owner here and grew up boating. Mine and my husband’s happiest place is being on the water on our boat. BUT it is expensive and there are a lot of considerations and you very much need to know how to properly operate one and know the rules of the water. For example, docking is a skill in many conditions, it’s way harder than it looks, make sure you understand right of way, constant bearing decreasing range (if a boat looks like it is in the same spot relative to your position but it keeps getting bigger and bigger you’re on a collision course), know how channel markers work (red right returning), know how to read marine maps and understand tides and how much water your boat draws so you never run aground, where are you going to keep your boat-dry slip/wet slip/boat house storage and if it’s dry storage you need a trailer for the boat and a car (truck) that can pull the weight of the boat and the trailer, then you need to learn how to launch a boat (this is just comical to watch people try, me included, I don’t even try). Dock space is expensive, fuel is expensive, maintenance is expensive. Buy used but ask how many hours the boat and engine have on it, don’t just rely on the age. And ask about maintenance history. Know that engines are WAY more expensive than you would think. And please please please take a boat safety course and get your license. If there’s any way you can be on and around other people’s boats and just watch and ask questions for a while I would highly recommend that! Two biggest things- pay attention to the weather and always put the plug in before you launch the boat!!
God speed friend
I was just watching Love Island (don’t judge) and noticed two of the guys who are very good friends were sitting with their legs sort of crossed together. Like the way girls who are close friends would. It stuck out because you don’t really see that much but I was like hey that’s pretty cool, kinda more masculine (at least from my girl perspective) than guys that are all afraid to touch each other
I know I’ve seen you before because your username cracks me up
Yeah I want the full story here, we need details
