Thousands of Israelis joined a far-right Independence Day march on Tuesday in the south, led by Jewish activists advocating for resettling Gaza and forcing Palestinians to leave the enclave.
Two activists participating in the march crossed the border into Gaza and were arrested by Israeli forces near the Erez crossing.
The march was supported by lawmakers speaking at the event, including two cabinet members: Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi, who is a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party, and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir of Otzma Yehudit.
Reaction from the white house, if any:
To where? Expulsion to where?
It’s genocide. To death.
Ben-Gvir also spoke at the march, saying that what the protesters are calling for was the “true solution.”
“First,” he said, “we must return to Gaza now! We are coming home to the Holy Land! And second,” he continued, “we must encourage emigration. Encourage the voluntary emigration of the residents of Gaza. It is moral!”
Good for him for recognizing the protesters calling for one state. It’s the only equitable solution.
Sanctions prevent the first part. He’s half right, which is more than most in their right wing.
So he’s talking about the … Final solution?
With the eradication of a whole nation?
A nation often compared to rats and cockroaches?
Where have I seen this before???
Wow, lebensraum, lugenpresse and endlosung. They’re, umm, really really trying…
I’m not suggesting that Netanyahu will listen. Other than the protests there is there’s no public representation of the left in Israel right now, and I’m impressed that he even had the balls to recognize their message.
but it’ll be better once bibi is gone
Amazing how the right is shitty to everyone in every county
It’s characterized by religious extremism, and blaming minorities for problema.
Ethnic cleansing.
Do they not see that their “the true solution” reminds “the final solution” that Nazi were implementing with respect to Jews?
He said the protesters message calling for peaceful emigration of Palestinians is the true solution. It’s actually really surprising that he even recognized their message. They’re calling for removal of Netanyahu, return of Israeli hostages, and open emigration for Palestinians.
Of course he also interjects his own message about returning to Gaza, and suggests withholding aid until the hostages are returned. Their right wing is truly awful.
Ummm I’m pretty sure they’re not advocating for Gazans to emigrate into Israel. Just out of Gaza
Never mind. I reveresed immigrate and emigrate. 100% of his message is shit.
The irony is lost on some people it seems.
They intentionally make it similar so that when you make the obvious comparison, they can say “that’s ridiculous, you’re being extreme” and put you on the defensive.
Thousands of Israelis joined a far-right Independence Day march
Were they goose-stepping?
