Now imagine if everyone was armed to the teeth and showed up to protest peacefully. I feel like that’s what it would take to make kidnappers think twice about fucking around.

In many states, it is illegal to bring weapons of any kind to a protest or demonstration, often whether said event has permits or not.

I’m not aware of any law in Minnesota that makes this illegal but most of the protests here start, end or are entirely on state/federal government property where it is illegal to carry.

Might well be true. Of note, where there is such a law, they’ll generally be referring to any weapons, and not only firearms.

Bring sporting equipment. Golf, hockey, baseball - all very popular athletic pursuits.

The J6 Insurrectionists have insisted that the J6 Traitors were unarmed, and the bats, cattle prods, chains, spears, flagpoles, etc. weren’t weapons, so that made J6 a “peaceful” demonstration.

Perhaps we should give them a taste of their version of a peaceful demonstration.
