No he won’t. This is just an old man with dementia and a ketamine addicted Nazi having a terrible rap battle to commit market manipulation.

One of the rare times Elon and I are on the same side

The Big Beautiful Bill bans all legislation that regulate AI and more importantly, bans Transgender Healthcare for all but the very rich.

I fucking hate this dude with all my heart but if he actually does it then I’ll take a cautious “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” stance.

Hey any action is simplified greatly if you wait for it to partially resolve itself before your own involvement. Worked great for the Turks when the Romans killed each other the night before battle.

This is another point that can be used as an argument against Machiavelli’s philosophy. It was well-written, but I’m not sure a prince should trust the advice of a guy his family threw in prison. The Prince might be chock full of intentionally written bad advice for all we know. …such as always take a side to form allies, rather than Sun Tsu’s approach of allowing them to exhaust themselves without interfering.

Excuse my ignorance, but what does this mean? He threatens to ‘primary’ members of Congress?

I’ve tried searching, and that wasn’t much help, employees of said member are to quickly start looking for another job. Something happens at the end of term… And a Time magazine article, which was beyond useless in explaining what it is.

    I’m none the wiser… 🤷

Congress members in the US are elected in constituencies. For each constituency each party typically fields one candidate. Before the actual election, the parties hold primary elections to determine the candidate for the constituency for that particular party. Pretty much anyone can run in these primaries. Your chance of winning very much depends on the support, i.e. finding you have. If Elmo decides to fund candidates that would challenge the incumbents in the primaries, he could likely unseat quite a few of them on account of having a lot of money. And yes, this is all deeply undemocratic.

Thank you. Every time I think the US election system couldn’t be any more open to corruption, I’m proven wrong. Learning something new every day.

The ability to corrupt is inversely proportional to how active our citizens are in the political process.

Only like 10% of eligible voters vote in primary elections. That likely makes it far easier for money to buy enough name recognition via advertising to make a financially backed candidate a shoe in. But if you look at something like the NYC mayoral primary, a grassroots movement with support still beats moneyed interests.

That said, our country does a lot to discourage participation in our political process.

Agreed, and it’s worth noting the Republican party has done the same thing to candidates who weren’t far enough to the right.

I do not like that Elon Musk.

Never uttered a word I believe or trust.

He has fathered and fled more kids than Nick Cannon.

With a soul and heart more grotesque than Steve Bannon.

When he goes to jail the world will dance.

Until then we can smile as he pisses his pants.

If one wins the fight, I’d want it to be Elon because he doesn’t have the following Trump does.

Elon’s already on his way down from his pedestal, all he’d gain from attacking Trump is taking Agent Orange down with him.

Therefore who I root for in the feud is without question, Elon The Musky Husky.
