Machlenny, Glenn, Kaitlyn from isaip, they just aren’t good outside of the show. Also rob is pretentious as fuck. Typecasting is pretty much a curse for people like these

Idris Elba and Dominic West will always be Stringer Bell and Jimmy McNulty for me.
Kind of obscure, but Brits of a certain age will always think of Alan Dale as “Jim from Neighbours”. Another one being Guy Pearce as “Mike from Neighbours”. Pearce has had a slightly bigger career than Dale maybe, but you’ve almost certainly seen them both in popular movies and TV shows.
Ian McKellan is Gandalf, and I will fight anyone to the death who disagrees.
Magneto?
While he did a decent job with Magneto, I would say that his Gandalf is far more recognized.

True, but I would argue that none are as widely recognized as Gandalf.

I will stay my Hammer of Vengeance just this once…and agree that he is a very accomplished and talented actor…who just happens to be Gandalf, not Ian McKellan. ;)
