I mean oddities mostly. I corelate the area code of my highschool love, and often the birthday of another. It has no significance beyond a few pleasant memories, but it is just one of life’s oddities for me. Do you experience similar oddities?
I always have a little chuckle at 13:37. It’s one of those times that I irrationally feel I see more often than any other time, but it’s just that I notice that specific set of numbers more than any other… or maybe I check the time at exactly the same point each day because my body clock is 1337!

4:04
Oh no, my clock is broken.
Time not found?
What clock?
It’s better than the minute prior - I can’t even read my clock at that time!
Just relax and make some tea at 4:18 :) No coffee though!
Every day at 8:08 I emit a single loud bass note
I wanna hear what you sound like at 3:03
That’s the time of day that my stomach gurgles
What do you mean by correlate, could you provide an example?
I like to make wishes at 11:11 and 12:34 but they “won’t come true” if I look at the clock again on the same time (eg. see it’s 11:11, make a wish, can’t look until 11:12 at least).
Like at 7:04 you might think of July 4th. All numerical dates are represented on a 12 hour clock. I’m asking if your pattern recognition software is picking up on such a meaningless correlation and giving it some pleasant side effect or if that is not a very common mental connection.
All numerical dates are represented on a 12 hour clock.
Only if you use mmdd date format. The majority of the world uses ddmm.
Yeah, but neither makes sense any more. I use yymmdd in my default file naming for natural sorting hierarchy. I just don’t think in that context. I guess that makes this post an interesting reflection from a couple of extra angles.
Our US 3 digit area codes for phone number regions are likely not really paralleled elsewhere in the world either. It’s interesting all the little cultural subtleties that shape the mind.
Blazeit.
I’ve seen specific numbers so many times I know we’re living in a sim
I have a little chuckle whenever I see it’s 7:07.
I see my sister’s birthday and 13:12 a lot, which make me chuckle
17:38 is an inside joke with my friend so don’t know if that counts. 13:37 always makes me smile.
Yes. I call it my “birthtime,” even though that name technically shadows another data point.
12:34 is known as “simulation time” in my house, the time we notice the most out of sheer happenstance. Clearly the simulation has a hard time coming up with anything better when I look at the clock.
I haven’t been on a date in such a long time, so I’m afraid I can’t be much help here.
