Ugh, job websites are unbearable. Filtering through all the lies and bullshit is so draining
I don’t think it would do you any good. They would just publish consistent information and then perform a bait and switch after the interview.
It’s preferable to see the dishonesty upfront.
i would not be surprised if that’s straight up illegal
I remember applying to jobs listed as being remote in the USA only to get an email from someone at the company informing me that they are only looking for people in Poland.
Poland!
I replied with screenshots and links to all their incorrect job listings and let them know someone was doing their hiring wrong which is wasting their time and my time.
The only button you need here is that little X in the upper right corner.
Indeed actually does, although whether they actually give a shit is an entirely different thing.
But, it is remote! From your home…
Just apply, but on hiring, say you are working remotely as the hiring information said.
Waste their time and demand pay.
And the really annoying ones hide the “this will become a hybrid position” deep in the copy. It’s almost like businesses know a lot of workers prefer remote roles…
“why does no one want to work anymore???”
“Full remote”
“We are inclusive and do not discriminate race, nationality, religion, gender and so on”
Can I work from my home country then?
“No sorry, only US”
