Honestly doesn’t this sort of message actually help Democrats more than anything? Do they not realize the GOP has no chance if the voter turnout increases? Even if that circumstance might favor Trump, they’d be torn to shreds in the senate and governor races.

And that’s where you want to put them down-- the local and state elections. Controlling the house and senate is FAR more important than POTUS. Because the house and senate make the laws and write the checks.

They might target it to specific areas. The gerrymandering software is so good this days, with access to all the data you can predict pretty accurately how any area is going to vote

the message aside, this is one of the shittiest designs I’ve seen. the text is all over the place, there’s no clear hierarchy of information… what a mess.

Ducking people is obviously against both the instance rules and the sub rules.

I’m not too concerned, your comments will be deleted shortly. You may even get a ban.

I hope it was worth sounding clever, cause what you did is pretty stupid.

They’re the one who put my address in a comment. Don’t blame me for what some sociopath did.

I did it just to show you that you should block it out. It’s not your full address, just the block number.

Don’t act like you were doing me a favor by posting my address publicly. If you thought I should block it out, you could’ve messaged me privately, but you didn’t.

Sociopaths do what you do. You did an obviously shitty thing, and then tried to blame me for it.

Congratulations on that by the way. Being a sociopath, that is. Try not to murder any cats.

good! but still, why do they get to be the ones who do all the intimidation? i think it’s time we made them scared.

Because they’re shitty people and threats and intimidation are the only way they can win. We don’t do the same thing, because we are better than them. Stooping to their level would make us just as bad.

i think it’s all going to come down to how badly do women not want to be wholly owned by their MAGAt men. that’s going to determine whether the american project was successfully killed by putin.

Unfortunately, a lot of women have been brainwashed to think that it’s only “the others” that they’re after and that they’re safe. Even Hispanic Women are still voting for Trump because “it’s only the illegals”. They don’t realize it’s not about that, it’s about creating a group that is “other” to blame. And once all the “illegals” are gone and things aren’t any better they’ll continue to the rest of the Hispanic people. Once their children need an abortion to save their lives, they’ll be the ones in the funeral homes.

It’s important for vote counts to to be independently checked. Having who voted publicly available means an investigative journalist can prove the county clerk’s claim that dead people voted and so they can’t certify the election is false. Or catch attempts at fraud. Both as a double-check on government in the case of officials who are lying or have acquired false beliefs, or as outside help if the issue isn’t caught internally due to under-resoucing.

I prefer the French Left take on the idea. They did a campaign awhile back titled: “The fascists are voting, are you?” With a big portrait of the most well-known far right politician in the country. In the end they had to pay a 3000€ fine but I’d say it was worth it.

3000€ seems like barely a drop in the bucket of campaigning costs, totally worth it lol. To the point that’s not even a disincentive.

Problem is that’s how Elon and others are getting away with shit. Drops in buckets fines are the cost of business for them and it’s working quite well.

It also strongly encourages people to return their ballots in person likely because the GOP is already set to challenge mail-in ballots as “rigged”.

Hey! HEY! That is a vile insinuation! They’d never do that and also they only suppress votes for the other party and those don’t count anyway, so what if they do it when it’s perfectly fine seeing how they could never win if they allowed the election to be run fairly, and in conclusion, voter suppression is great and everybody should do it (except for non-republicans).

Wait, what were we talking about again?
