… sentencing guidelines suggest a from eight to 14 months in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 7.

Back on June 25:

Former Bob’s Burgers voice actor Jay Johnston agreed today to plead guilty to federal charges stemming from his participation in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The 55-year-old actor […] faces multiple charges including civil disorder and disorderly or disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds.

In case anyone’s curious, he voiced Bob’s rival Jimmy Pesto. He’s since been recast and they did a great job. I wouldn’t notice the difference if I weren’t looking for it.

From what I can tell from a quick look on the wiki, Johnston was fired after season 11, after which the character was absent for several seasons, then recast as Eric Bauza in season 14 (which I believe is the most recent season at the moment), in particular season 14 episode 5, “Bully-ieve It or Not.”

Shows how much I’ve been watching the show, despite liking it.

I had no idea Jimmy Pesto was absent. Did his kids disappear? Two of the kids were played by sarah silverman. And jimmy jr is voiced by H J Benjamin, who also voices Bob.

So I assume neither of them is going anywhere.

Nah, his kids have been around. It wasn’t a very conspicuous absence, he just hasn’t come up for a while. It’s easy to miss if you didn’t realize the VA had been fired.

I thought he was pretty good as the cop on The Sarah Silverman Program, too bad he’s an insurrectionist.
