Imagine having to say that at a press conference.

So to sum up, Charlie Kirk was downplaying gun violence in the US, and using a racist dogwhistle to do so, WHILE standing under a giant fucking “prove me wrong” banner, when he was shot with a bullet labeled “OWO what’s this?” by a Mormon cop’s kid from Utah (ie, whiter than raisins in potato salad).

That is an actual fucking series of events that actually fucking happened. We’ve gone past “the onion is reality” to “this would be too on the nose if it was an onion article and yet it’s somehow reality”.

this is very besides the point, but “whiter than raisins”?? i’m scared to ask, but how white are your raisins, americans?
edit: after further research, it seems like american raisins are not white either, in which case, wtf is this saying

Not whiter than raisins, whiter than “[putting] raisins in potato salad.” It’s a reference to cooking. Also, I’ve never seen anyone do thay and I’m from the US south, so…pretty white I guess.

They said “whiter than raisins in potato salad.” It’s a meme saying that white people put raisins in potato salad.

There’s a book by street lit author Quan Millz called Becky Put Raisins in the Potato Salad. This is actually where I heard about it and I was like “ew! Raisins in potato salad??”

I’ve never seen a potato salad with raisins in it. Sounds gross.

Ahh Trump cleared that up today. “Transgender for everybody,” it’s one of the left’s demands. I guess it’s like abortions on demand, but like, everybody is given a gift bag of HRT at their next PCP visit. Here’s some estrogen and some narcan, go slay in today’s world girl.

TRN. That’s what was on the bullet. Which is a manufacturing mark.

Other things written on the bullets imply that the shooter idolizes Nick Fuentes, and is, in fact, somthing called a Groyper.

As a note, Nick Fuentes hated Charlie Kirk.

Honestly though, it’s reasonable for them to think it was trans related, considering Charlie’s rhetoric - we can’t expect the FBI to know what bullets looks like.

“Transgender ideology” is the outrageous radical belief that transgender people are people and deserve to be able to live their lives.

The other inscriptions on the fired casings:

    “notices bulges”

    capital “O-W-O what’s this?”

Inscriptions on the three unfired casings:

“hey fascist!” “catch!” Up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol, and three down arrow symbols.

“Oh Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Ciao, Ciao.”

“If you read this, you are gay LMAO.”

    Also:

A Wall Street Journal report, citing an ATF bulletin, had previously said the casings were “engraved with expressions of transgender and antifascist ideology.” The purported transgender symbols were later understood to relate to markings identifying the manufacturer.

Is it at all possible that they were interpreting the “bulges” thing as trans related? Not to say that it is, but it seems more likely than the TRN thing.

This says that the “sequence of arrows” was interpreted as a transgender symbol.

Now we know that the sequence of arrows was “up, right, down, down, down”

…that’s the strategem code for the 500kg bomb in helldivers 2.

The ATF interpreted a video game reference as a transgender symbol…

embarrassing and irresponsible mistake from the ATF

Oh that’s kinda been their MO for as long as I can remember. It’s kinda their motto. Instead of educating anyone, they routinely do things like try to preach the horrific danger of detachable magazines as the dork tries to insert it backwards.

It’s also a straight up meme that they’ll conduct some half assed raid where they shoot someone’s dog and go “Whoops. Wrong address.”

They know less about firearms than your average airsofter or tactical gamer, but they’re an authoritarian arm on “regulating” the things so they’re usually the first to jump to wild, illiterate conclusions.

I think socialist gun owners and insufferably right wing gun nuts could probably high five over beers when it comes to their mutual sheer lack of respect for the ATF. Lol

I mean I could almost see that? Helldivers is kinda a satire on the american brand of fascism so it could be argued its an anti-fascist peace of media. But that’s a stretch to say the least.

But my real issue with this is that federal investigators saw something they had absolutely no clue what it is and called it a transgender symbol. Its an incredible amount of bias in a particularly very bigoted way.

Reminds me of a lyric from The Clash - “taking off his turban, they said, ‘is this man a jew?’” They see something unknown to them and just assign it to the marginalized group they have a preconceived notion of being bad.

Can we find the person who, for no apparent reason, interpreted manufacturers markings as apparent ‘trans ideology’ and ask him wtf that was supposed to accomplish? I mean if you don’t know what some markings mean, aside from blatant bias is there any possible way to get to ‘trans ideology’ from manufacturers markings? Are they using male/female icons? Emojis? Printing them in rainbow colors?

TRN. It’s the manufacturers code for a Turkish company called Turan. That’s what I heard at any rate.

Identifying that as trans is just rank incompetence. Anyone that stupid would be fired in a sane world. Under our fascist regime, new FBI director incoming.

I’m not a gun person but my understanding is that no one who’s looked at bullets could mistake a manufacturer’s imprint. Where it is and what it looks like preclude it being anything else. It would be like confusing a barcode for a brandname.
