All of the comments here are reminding me of how life was 20 years ago and also before I was married with kids.
I genuinely don’t fucking care how feminine somebody thinks something I’m doing is if I’m comfortable or enjoying myself. I’ll drink pink drinks all day if it fucking tastes good LMLML bro.
Luckily due to the nature of open source being what it is, even if they did choose to close the source the last revision can just be forked and continued from there by the community akin to what happened with Emby/Jellyfin
insert “leopards ate my face party” reference here.
The first page of the jobs site linked literally has “restaurant worker”. What the hell DOESN’T count as specialized experience to you? Ability to breathe?
With a total staff of 11 I’m guessing there’s not a huge budget for outside contractors to do the work.
If it came down to it the remedy is to challenge it in court. An impartial judge should be able to look at the argument from the local government and determine if their argument is legitimate or not.
Sorry for the lack of clarity.
1000% the company.
I’ve never seen a company SO devoted to get me to not use their service. $2-$3 a month is worth not seeing ads in my mind. They’ve made their website SO user hostile and their prices are just too damned high to justify paying them - I can just go without.
what a stupid hill to die on
I love you.
You make a valid point and I wish you’d stop being downvoted for it.
For those that might be downvoting their comment, just a reminder: downvotes are supposed to reflect the quality of a comment not your disagreement. A bad comment for example is something like “lol get rekt”
That being said…
I’m genuinely curious if there’s a place online where you find the discourse to be in anyway slanted toward the optimistic? I’d love to hang out there and after the Reddit exodus, for a while I personally genuinely tried to only have positive discourse here but I think the mood of the zeitgeist is exactly that: when the world seems shitty, everyone’s opinions seem shitty.
Do you disagree with what they actually said though?
Maybe everyone focuses on the negatives because we just did 5 straight years where it seems like if given the choice between two outcomes positive and negative, we’re living in the timeline where the negative thing always happens.
That’s a little like arguing that being visited by an asylum escapee is the same as living in the asylum.
I mean that’s crazy coming to us. If I remember correctly that asshole was from Kansas or something.
I’m so glad I live in Massachusetts. Feels like the last bastion of sanity.
Kind of sounds like the way democracy is supposed to work to be honest.
They don’t have boats on your island? Sounds like a lack of conviction to me.
Kidding, of course.
Grew up in a resort town known for its plethora of rich people.
Rich people are near universally the cheapest group of people I’ve ever encountered.
Dude can literally go fuck himself.
