  • That’s not criticism. Criticism would be, since the US tortures and kills more civilians in war than any other modern combatant force, as proven repeatedly by whistleblowers and leaks, the US is not a moral army and shouldn’t be allowed to operate a global military network that seems to solely exist to destabilize the global south and ensure white supremacy remains the default mode of thinking.

That’ll get you banned on Twitter, that gets you shadow banned on bluesky, that’ll get you ip banned on reddit, and will get you demonetized on YouTube.

Edit: also lemmy is as American as an American flag made after 1980

  • None of those things are banned, please check a fact checking website of your choice.

In any case we’re talking about Tiktok, which pretty much just banned hate speech, non advertiser friendly violence, and nudity. This is better than all American social media platforms which ban political speech outside what the US has deemed acceptable.

More importantly, even if we lived in an alternative reality where your bias were true… That’s still better for Americans than American social media. Americans need to be able to criticize the US government and it’s allies. You can’t effectively do that on American social media without being banned. China doesn’t care, so they t it happen.

No, Patrick, not everyone that disagrees with you is a bad faith actor.

That’s part of the problem with modern liberals, you’ve propagandized yourselves into believing you’re the only intelligent creatures and anything or anyone else that doesn’t agree must be subhuman idiots. It’s why you people constantly fail to secure even the easiest of support.

I’m not the person you were arguing with. Based on your argument, your words, there are no consequences for discriminating against black people, and shouldn’t be.

There are, if you include the law, but since we’re ignoring it to make your argument work, there’s no consequences.

When arguing something, trying arguing the opposite to yourself before posting.
