  • He pled not guilty. You don’t plead innocence in court.

He has to prove that he is not guilty of the case brought by the prosecution. That’s what not guilty means. He only has to disprove the specifics of the case brought against him.

Its the procetutor’s job to prove, it is the defendant’s job to disprove.

Pleading not guilty is the right choice. Either his lawyers think he’s not guilty, and this plea lets them beat the charges, or he is guilty and this plea delays the inevitable.

If he pled guilty that would skip the main part of the trial and go straight to sentencing. Pleading guilty is rarely a good idea unless you are making a deal for a reduced sentence.

  • I got HRT through my doctor in the US. They gave me a big informed consent document with lots of details and warnings. A lot of the warnings are a bit fearmongery, like you might have a higher risk of this specific cancer, based on one small study decades ago.

Despite all that, there were only two things described as irreversible changes, breast growth, and infertility.

If you’re an adult and no longer have an actively growing skeleton, and have taken precautions against the two above changes, you should be able to stop the HRT and go back if needed.

The changes are cumulative and gradual. You burn fat from everywhere, but deposit it based on your current hormones. With time fat will appear to migrate, and will migrate back if you stop the HRT.

Edit: specifying nationality is useful information when discussing supplied documentation.

  • Weird right wingers kept going on about trans people, and I wanted to be informed about it and learned a few things about myself in the process.

I genuinely had no idea for most of my life. The signs were there all along but only in retrospect. It took me 2-3 years of questioning before I started transitioning. I was not ever truly certain I was trans until I started HRT, and everything started to feel fine, like genuinely fine. Didn’t realize I was depressed from dysphoria my entire life because I had no point of comparison.

I certainly envy the trans people who were able to learn they were trans at an early age. The best time to transition is just before the start of puberty, the second best time is now.

  • How’d it go? Notice anything?

Fat will deposit in more feminine places but there is no mechanism to actively remove it from elsewhere. That’s why trans men need top surgery. Hormones can only make they cannot unmake.

You do burn fat and it is removed everywhere in an impartial way. Expect changes to take time.

Sometime soon your nipples will start to get sore and hurt. That means things are developing!

  • it would be, but they are the minority party in the federal legislature. They can’t do the things you’re suggesting on their own. Obstructionism is the best course of action. You’re asking for things they literally can’t do, instead of things they choose not to like normal.

FAA is run by the executive branch. They are subject to laws that have to pass the republican legislature. Not a reasonable option at this point unless republicans start to turn on musk.

Those who could craft or enforce laws against musk right now are the states. If a state could charge musk with a crime and arrest him for it it could stick. The presidential pardon only extends to federal crimes.

  • The helicopter was flying at 300-400 feet. The buildings to the southeast are shorter than that. Those areas are 3-4 story sparse developments not highrises. The plane was above and descending. It would be seen against the night sky. There would be no buildings near where the helicopter would be looking for the plane.

Landing approaches are started from specific navaids. This plane was not off course because it was given a different arrival route than expected.

The airspace around DC is some of the most restricted in the world. Routes into the national airport are very tight with little allowance for error. Most of the routes come in over the river to avoid overflying government buildings, and the involved plane had a sharp left final over the river. The plane may have turned when the helicopter wasn’t expecting it.

This is all speculation. Investigations into things like this are thorough. It is far to early to assign blame to anyone involved.
