More proof that billionaires are treated like a special class that the law can’t touch. Cool.

That if they vote third party before we can get rid of the first-past-the-post system, they are helping their ideological opposite. And a corollary: if they do it because of the genocide in Gaza and Trump encourages a total wipeout of the Palestinian state like he’s telegraphing, the blame for the deaths of those innocent civilians is on them for being self-righteous instead of honest.
Fucking good. Put the squeeze on them, they’re nothing without their workers, and constantly manipulating their employees and the job market to keep them as wage slaves is abusive at best.
I’m in PA and a lot of parts are still pretty hot for Trump (lots of big signs, every conversation is an opportunity for them to talk about their undying devotion, etc.). That is NOT to say that it’s unwinnable, but we really need to put the pedal on to keep the pace, since the default answer here is leaning back toward Trump.
Edit: That said, we’re one of the most important swing states this cycle, so not surprised things are just more political in general.
Yes, because kids catching polio from some asshole who won’t vaccinate or otherwise care for their own kids is their choice and what they want. Yup, totally apt comparison.
Yeah, no. iPhone VPN apps aren’t the route that Russian hackers are taking.
😬 I’m not sure how I’d feel about porn generated on a data set of potential STIs
To be fair, I was in the camp of “put a sock in it” until I reached a point of “alright FINE, I’ll give it a go” and now I’m joining the choir on it, desktop Linux is a dream.

I need to get off my ass and do the same, they deserve all the support in the world right now.
I’m somewhere in the middle on it. Like mentioned elsewhere, some of it feels like it’s just to generate additional business around domain registration while companies buy up duplicates to prevent spoofing. Also “.zip” is a fucking travesty.
Agreed. I’m sure if I was heads down in Excel for years beforehand it would be a significant downgrade, but as a casual user, making better use of some of the more advanced features became so, SO much easier with the Ribbon.
I’ve always been hugely in favor of it. It’s the one change that could maybe justify their gargantuan salaries – if your company causes harm and suffering, the leaders absolutely need to be put on the hook.
Jesus Christ that’s basically uninhabitable for any extended period of time
I mean, they’re one implementor of about 10 that provide the same container standard. It sucks that they were first so their name is now synonymous with containers a la Kleenex, but the technology itself is standard, very open and ubiquitous, and a huge step forward in simplifying deployments that would otherwise be too complex to reasonably handle.
My insurance site (MyCigna) started working a couple months ago, but for years it failed to log in. It’s those types of contracted apps that seem to fail the most for me, like apps you’d see on a company intranet.
I think that’s the way both Splunk and JFrog work – you generate or enter a password into the key field in a YAML file somewhere, start the service, and next time you come back the field’s been encrypted.
You’ll love the flat and very sturdy design of the new hinges they introduced with the Fold 5. (This is the best phone I’ve ever had by miles.)
Russia really has become “big North Korea”, sheesh
