I have the boox palma 2, if you (OP) want a very portable device I’d definitely recommend! The fingerprint reader is pretty bad though, ha. But worth it to have something phone sized and easy to pocket.

Bisexuals aren’t exclusively attracted to men and women, nonbinary and agender folks are largely included. Common interpretation of the bi=2 prefex is including 1) same- (homo) and 2) different- (hetero) gender sexuality. Colloquially the difference between bi and pan is usually described as bisexuality allowing for preference for certain genders but not exclusively so, while pansexuality is attraction regardless of gender. A given bisexual might be attracted to twice as many women as men, but that doesn’t mean their attraction to those men isn’t real, you know? Meanwhile a pansexual could have attraction to the exact same people but wouldn’t ascribe it to gender, just individuals. Largely the difference between the two is therefore personal preference in how someone experiences their sexuality.
Ahh, no! I was agreeing with the top comment that using UTC everywhere would cause more problems. Glad we’re on the same page now!
I don’t understand what you’re asking here. I’m saying if you kept UTC in every place on earth, you’d still have to relate those hours to a solar based local time. If you wake up at 6UTC in London and then travel to Moscow, the sun in Moscow would rise 3 hours earlier (guessing, not sure exactly what time time difference is). So if Moscow was also keeping UTC, they would set their alarms for 3UTC to wake up with the sun. If you travel to Moscow, you’d wake up at 3UTC with the sun, which is the equivalent of 3am London time, but is around sunrise locally. This is just how time zones work, so I have no idea where the confusion is.
Sunrise at 06:00 UTC in one timezone would occur at 03:00 UTC three timezones over, I mean. The relationship between standard time and local, solar noon based time (sunrise, noon, sunset, midnight) is going to have a flexing relationship across different places on Earth. So if you’re travelling or even communicating across timezones, you haven’t fixed anything by using UTC since daily activities (sleep, meals, etc.) are still correlated to when the sun is up or not. Timezones communicates that daily relationship with time pretty effectively without having to do a lot of thought about it all the time.
And you’d still have to adjust to local time anyway! Travel three timezones and now noon is at 9 instead of 12. Your alarm to wake up at 6, now needs to be at 3.
Maybe if it gets popular you can implement categories of some sort? So people who don’t want to opine on certain topics can tap out before getting those questions
This is really really significant, especially with the other news of arresting Judge Hannah Dugan for opposing an ICE kidnapping in her courtroom. The legal system is forcing them to at least slow their destructive policy implementation and they don’t like that.
Every new step is testing the waters of what the people will accept. They’ve already backtracked on things that were sufficiently unpopular. We need to push back hard, now. Call your reps, get in the streets, say Judge Hannah Durgan’s name.
It is a useful reminder that people with autism are in danger with this regime in power. And anyone who needs vaccinations (everyone).

Look up v-coding if you want your day ruined. This is an act of violence.
Just so you know, someone isn’t “really nice” if they make jokes like that. Maybe she used to be nice, but she isn’t acting that way now.
I’m not sure how old you are, but it sounds like you’re both still teenagers or maybe young adults. People are trying to figure themselves out at that time, and sometimes what they try out is edgelord (especially when the edgelords are gaining political power). She may be testing boundaries of what is socially acceptable, in which case it’s in her best interests as well as yours to gently push back against this kind of behavior (or more forcefully later if she doesn’t take a hint).
Something like, “hey, it makes me uncomfortable when you make those ‘identify as’ jokes. You know I’m nonbinary and that sort of humor makes me feel like you don’t respect me. I fully support your identity, including your faith, and as your friend I hope you would do the same for me.”
Even if you are 1-on-1 for that chat, she is almost certainly going to respond negatively to that, so I would drop it there, but be prepared to remind her that you don’t like it later. Ideally after some reflection she wakes up and realizes she’s causing harm to your friendship, but be prepared to break it off entirely with her if she doesn’t want to treat you with respect.
This post is less than half an hour old, can you let people see it first before complaining of silence?
Shoulda made the alias instead it sounds like!
It shows up as “Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America)” outside of the US apparently. That seems like enough to make a fuss to me; bodies of international water have specific rules around name changes and the US can’t unilaterally decide differently.
On your last point, I’m surprised that Musk isn’t more visibly worried about assassination attempts. He’s really not making friends with anyone in government or otherwise, and the one guy backing him is a bad mood away from testing his full immunity powers and seizing several billions for himself. Like, if I had that kind of fuck off money, I sure wouldn’t be putting my neck on the line for this.
For android, the rdx app works great for occasional lurking
Bad news, privacy is sadly political. When you build your brand on “trust us with your sensitive information” it’s less than ideal to align yourself with the “if you’ve done nothing wrong you have nothing to fear from privacy invasion” party
Notch also fuckin’ sucks, but a broken clock and all that
