The Home-Assistant integration for Mammotion works very well. It’s a local integration and you can block internet access for the mower (and base station) afterwards if you like to.

Which version did you try? I used the 24.12.something version earlier this year for some rather complicated project and it was very stable.
I know they had stability issues before but not with that version. Disclaimer: I did not do video editing since, so I cannot say if the stability issues are back.
Did you reboot sometime while testing? Chances are that e.g. a new kernel or Nvidia driver version broke the current system and needs a reboot to fix it.
Ever tried asking in Ubuntu forums for help for Mint, Pop or any other derived distribution?
It might be toxic but I understand if people that donate their free time to help others get tired of being asked for help for problems that were caused by the offspring distribution. I did not follow it nowadays but back in the days this was the same with Manjaro which caused issues every now and then by holding back some upgrades.
They changed their slogan a while ago. Guess why…

Nice. Have fun with it!

I think I heared that lan-only mode means you need to transfer the files to print via SD card.

Without its dependencies bloating my host OS?0·11 months agoGo with one of the ready to use systems. Flatpak, Snap, AppImage. Snap is largely Ubuntu Ecosystem, Flatpak is independent. AppImage is an option if you do not need/want a Sandbox.
Stay away from Docker and LXC for this use case (graphical applications), they are much more work to get going.

From an electrical point of view I think it would make sense that the relais power cycles when the plug reboots after an update. But I have not yet seen it do it.

I disabled the switch button on the plug so that they cannot be turned off by mistake. And set it to power on after power outage. Had no problems for a long time with this setup.

I use an AMD 7900rx with an AMD 7950x processor since almost a year with Gnome / Wayland on Arch. No problems up to now. Yes, I am a gamer too.
As others said it depends on the distribution you use.

The hot water pipe to the kitchen is quite long. We have a pipe loop there with a pump. Back in the days we had an ordinary timer that let the pump run at the usual times when there is hot water demand to be expected.
I now use a Zigbee plug for the pump and added a button in the kitchen to start it manually. In addidion HA starts it in the morning and every time when somebody comes home. Another HA automation turns off the pump after 3 minutes and ensures that it does not start again for 30 minutes.
Frigate can run as Home-Assistant addon easily. Then one does not have to manage / update the docker container.
