Is it really that hard to imagine a future where DRM encroaches further and further on us? Your fuckin blue ray player might not connect to the internet but it is still region locked.
I really don’t think you’re picking up what I’m putting down here. No, it’s not that difficult to imagine, because it’s happening. I am saying it’s bullshit and I’m annoyed about it.

God I wish you could block all users from an instance. Them and grad are like 40% of the hostility I experience
Grad is defederated here thankfully, it’s possible from the thread they made on !chapotraphouse@lexbear.net that they’ll defed from dbzer0 in the future, so at least here on dbzer0 it might not be an issue for much longer.
Unfortunately I also meet some seriously aggressive people on dbzer0 too but not nearly to the extent of hexbear and grad. World is a bit worse than dbzer0 but not as bad as bear/grad.
