World Central Kitchen founder José Andrés wrote an op-ed for the New York Times identifying seven victims killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza.

World Central Kitchen founder José Andrés said in an interview with Reuters on Wednesday that the seven World Central Kitchen workers who were killed by an Israeli strike while delivering aid Gaza earlier this week were targeted “systematically, car by car.”

“This was not just a bad luck situation where ‘oops’ we dropped the bomb in the wrong place,” Andrés said. “Even if we were not in coordination with the [Israel Defense Forces], no democratic country and no military can be targeting civilians and humanitarians.”

“The U.S. must do more to tell Prime Minister Netanyahu this war needs to end now,” Andrés told Reuters a day later.

    The workers were traveling through a de-conflicted zone in two armored cars, both clearly branded with the World Central Kitchen logo, when the attack occurred as the team was leaving the Deir al-Balah warehouse. They had just unloaded 100 tons of food aid, according to a statement issued from World Central Kitchen on Tuesday morning.

    “Israel is better than the way this war is being waged. It is better than blocking food and medicine to civilians. It is better than killing aid workers who had coordinated their movements with the Israel Defense Forces,”

    So, both armored cars were hit leaving their warehouse with their logos on the trucks, while also coordinating their movements with the IDF. So many things would have to go wrong for this to be an accident. It just seems unlikely.

      Of course they were targeted. The Binden administration needs end aid to Israel unless the he also wants to kill all Palestinians. Because this is straight up a genocide. And won’t end unless we quit aiding them or they kill them are strave them to death.

        At this point, I don’t think anything will stop them other than a military intervention or regime change. And I bet for any actual opposition, Mossad will be making threats and following through on them to discourage/punish it while their lobby arm will be throwing money at any domestic opposition to that opposition. Maybe even including within Israel itself.
