Congress’s moves against TikTok threaten freedom of speech and are grounded in baseless anti-Chinese hysteria. That dangerous fearmongering attitude appears to be becoming bipartisan consensus.

    It’s CCP spyware and a social engineering tool. You have to remember that China is not a normal country even though they have been working tirelessly to make the world believe they are – China is at the bleeding edge of techno-fascist authoritarianism. When Orwell’s character talks about “a boot stamping on a human face, forever” that’s the path the CCP represents. They’re the next stage in that direction if humanity follows.

    Whether the old fucks in congress are doing it for the wrong reasons or not, I still support its ban. Anything that hinders the CCP is good in my book.
