    ICE alleges that Martell-Lebron is really named Juan Carlos Baez and is originally from the Dominican Republic.

    Yeah, that’s almost definitely a lie.

    He allegedly entered the U.S. illegally in 2000, ICE said.

    And even if it wasn’t, he’s been in the country for a quarter of a decade without causing any trouble beyond allegedly lying on application.

    If those standards were applied to native born Americans, Washington would be a ghost town.

      From the article:

      Martell-Lebron was found guilty of two counts of trafficking cocaine and one count of trafficking heroin in Middlesex Superior Court in 2009, court documents show. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison after already serving a little less than two years while awaiting trial.

      He got out in 2000. So “a decade of not causing any trouble” is technically true, but only because he was already in prison.
