You can go back on Lemmy to four months ago, most people will be crying for Palestinian blood.

You can go back in my comment history and find me telling everyone to chill out and this is the concluding chapter of an Israeli perpetuated genocide.

Then fast forward a month and you’ll see the flip.

This is simply by not drawing conclusions based on single pieces of evidence, but rather the entire picture.

Let’s come up with an exciting example for you.

    Say you’re treasure hunting.

Two golden idols (Don’t worry, they’re from your culture and this is a totally appropriate treasure hunt) are hanging by two separate pieces of rope above a bottomless chasm. actually it has a bottom and the bottom is magma!

So you would like to get these two idols.

There are two ropes hanging in front of you.

If you pull rope 1, idol 1 is pulled toward you, but idol 2 drops into the magma.

If you pull rope 2, idol 2 is pulled towards you and idol 1 does not drop, and you’ll be able to use rope 1 to get idol 1 afterwards.

Remember you’re a treasure hunter who wants all the treasure they can get.

Pulling both ropes at the same time still makes idol 1 drop in, although you can still get idol 2

Which rope would you pull first?

I might be able to do those two things, but it’s not my job to prove you are telling the truth.

As far as your scenario goes, which rope will not make me culpable for participating in a genocide?

You have the burden of proof as the accuser, my statements are all objectively correct and documented.

As the accuser, you’ll have to prove those statements wrong or keep pretending the world is black and white and making things up I guess, if that’s what you’re into.

People are going to blame you whichever rope you pull, because they don’t understand what’s going on and they don’t like big scary situations.

Since it’s more important to do the right thing than to look good, you should probably pull 2, then 1, as that gives you the greatest chance of achieving your goal.

            Boy, your memory.

me: “Four months ago everybody was on the side of Israel because of the horrific terror attack”.

            You:

“Absolute nonsense. Utter horseshit. Biden was criticized from day one because I don’t think it was hard to predict what Israel would do.”

Now we have evidence from my facts if you go back to October 7th and look at news articles, or go back and browse Lemmy throughout October.

But your accusations of horseshit and that Biden was criticized from day one because everyone knew what Biden was going to do obviously don’t have a leg to stand on.

You should have provided evidence for your baseless claims, and you have provided none. Still.

Saying you made a nonsense claim is not an accusation, it is a criticism. And the fact that you can’t support it shows that it was the correct criticism.

I understand you’re afraid of the truth, but my evidence is right here, publicly accessible.

Go find the pro Israeli versus pro Palestinian posts from October.

Nobody’s going to make fun of you, just go ahead and check the publicly available information that corroborates what I say.

Now if you want to contradict that publicly available information, it would be hilarious to watch you try.

Or you can continue to make things up. Go for it.

Weird. You’d think if it was so accessible and that I was making things up, you would be able to prove I was wrong and show you were absolutely right so easily. Seems suspicious that you’re refusing to do that.
