I sold tickets to a concert on stubhub last year as I was unable to attend.
The concert was cancelled so no sale. Now stubhub wants me to pay a fee for failing to deliver on my listed tickets…
Yeah… I’d tell them to fucking sue me on that one.
I have no plan to pay it currently… see if anything comes of it. Would be interested to know if anyone else has ignored fees from them
Wouldn’t you be refunded for the original ticket purchase?
Yes, the original tickets were from Ticketmaster and refunded. But StubHub (separate selling site) still want a cut even though I obviously can no longer sell the tickets, if that makes sense? Which is ridiculous because obviously it’s not my fault the concert was cancelled.
I agree it’s ridiculous, but from their perspective, they provided a service and it is not their fault either. This is why allowing companies to get involved in private sales is bad. They will always want a cut. Unfortunately, private ticket sales is scalpers and scams.
Tickets are one thing that could actually be a nft.and benefit from it!
Generally speaking, doesn’t the buyer pay their fee, in the sense that a portion of what they pay goes to them? If so, wouldn’t it have made more sense for them to have withheld that portion of money when refunding the buyer?
