It’s not even that long & it would’ve been fun to have a roadtrip. Flew the jet for ~1h instead. Useless pollution.

that’s a level of wealthy 99% of us cant fathom. People like that detach from society more and more, their reality is different than ours. Shame…

Not really. Flights like that can be pretty reasonable, since they’re commuter flights.

And depending on the time, 4 hours in a bus (on the east coast, the North East no less, where congestion is brutal) could consume much of the time available.

I wouldn’t fly for this, but it’s understandable, especially if getting to the airport is trivial. It really depends on where said friend lives and time to the airport etc.

Unless you’ve driven through that area, you really have no idea what it’s like. I’ve done it many times for work, and you can’t pay me to get on those roads today, let alone in a bus. It’s like LA or the Bay Area in California, so congested that rush “hour” is all day.

Thats crazy, cant even imagine what their lives look like. We out here budgeting our monthly incomes and barely stay afloat, while others nonchalantly take a private jet when public transport would work just fine.

My friend gets “only $100K USD” per month as allowance (he’s an international student from China) and still goes over budget.

Though there has to be more to this story. Chartering an entire private jet costs like a few thousand to 15,000 dollars for an hour. You can do this twice a week on that budget. Or buy lots of fancy food, electronic gadgets and gucci bags, maybe even cars. But don’t you quickly run out of space to put them? So how would someone spend 100k?

Designer clothes / jewelry / watches sprees. Those things can be crazy expensive. A haute couture outfit can easily run for $100K or more. Not even talking about jewelry and watches.

Ah, yeah I forgot about watches and jewelry. Guess you can buy a lot of them and they won’t take up that much space. I’d stick with one or two of them, though. Make it a very nice one you really like and wear it all the time. IMO it doesn’t really help if you get 20 half-nice watches and keep 19 of them in one of your multiple wardrobes, that’s just hoarding stuff… Same applies to shoes, albeit you might be allowed to get a few more pairs of them. But what do I know…

…per…month? holy moly. Im currently earning about 15k a YEAR lmao. Granted, im going through a work-rehab program because of a spinal injury. But even when I finish this and start working full time again, itll be maybe 20k/year. Completely different ball league.
