I bought one in 2015. It’s still going without issue or ads! They really turned to shit, though

Yep we bought one in 2020, that thing sucked .

Switched to Sony recently and couldn’t be happier. Granted there are still ads but at least the UI is fast and responsive

Do yourself a favour and switch to using a video game console, Apple TV or if you’re more technical my inclined - a HTPC.

Manufacturers have been getting increasingly nosey with their data collection policies, as well as inserting additional adds after the fact.

And can guarantee that in all circumstances, both the software and hardware will be infinitely better built, supported and more reliable.

Owning Vizio would give Walmart access to an active user base of nearly 18 million people and help unlock Vizio’s own software platform business that has annual advertising revenues growing north of 27% at a more than 60% margin rate, said Nicholas Zangler, an analyst at Stephens.

Get ready for even more ads on your smart tv.

Isn’t it just amazing that TV manufacturer companies have dropped any pretense of their value deriving from the quality of TVs, and simply are a means to shove advertising in people’s faces?

      Soon…

We can buy this company that makes “smart” ovens so that it can play ads while it preheats! Oh, this smart microwave plays a “Totino’s” jingle. Oh, this smart fridge shames you for not buying the sponsored brand of grocery item.

Kinda like the fucking TV screens they have on gas pumps for the sole fucking purpose of shoving ads down the throat of captive audiences.
