Reacting defensively is human nature, something you are pretending to be above, pathetically. Wanting to feel superior is also human nature, but it’s at a pathological level for you, if your comments bear any relation to how you are offline.

Usually when it’s pointed out to me that I’m reacting defensively I take a moment to think about why that is, maybe you should do the same.

lol I’m sure that happens, just like you totally reflected when I attempted to tell you these things are bad:

        • condescension
        • pretending to not understand common expressions
        • stating expressions mean exactly one literal thing which you chose, and anyone who feels differently can just shut the fuck up or else be objectively a bigot.

Oh sorry I just got weirdly sexual again, I said “fuck”! :o Oh and shit, now I just referenced oral sex with that emoji. Arghh “shit” references to something that comes out near genitals!! Commits seppuku like a REAL leftist would be required to do.

You could just not be weird about taking criticism from marginalized people, I think that’s the ask.

pretending to not understand common expressions

I’m actually not great with English idioms (ESL girlie), could you explain what this meant for me?

I think you’re being pretty weird, inflexible, judgy and condescending in this thread, so we are even.

At the risk of this question being bad faith…

The comment you posted was me basically saying that guy stuck up for Russian interests when it came up multiple times. “Sucking someone’s dick” is often used as a way to refer to someone sucking up to someone else in a way that isn’t explicable unless there were a secret relationship between the two. It’s simply an exaggeration.

If you learned English as a second language, why would you immediately assume you understand its usage in every case?

so why is sucking dick a thing requiring a secret relationship?

also it seems like a specifically gendered expression, why wouldn’t you say “eating Russian pussy” if you wanted to imply that there’s some relationship

It just scans as homophobic, just as calling trump/elon women as an insult reads as misogynistic.

Are you trying to say that when you’re a misogynist you tend to use misogynistic insults? Because that tracks.

Look it up on the off chance you care in any way, I’m fucking done with this time wasting idiocy. Blocking you now.

You’re not really asking. You’re just telling me what it is. You messed up by admitting you aren’t a native english speaker since knowing that combined with this attitude reveals that you’re not interested in how things are. You’re literally asking me to justify or explain why an expression exists which has been around for decades. My explanation literally was just ignored. I’m out, you’re exactly who you seemed from the start. I actually fucking hate being right about negatively judging people but it’s so common to get full validation like this.

I mean, I’ve been speaking English long enough that I think I’ve got a pretty good grasp, but I still am constantly surprised by regional idioms. This doesn’t seem to be the case here though.

I still don’t see how your words aren’t bigotry just because you’re convinced you have a suitable target.

You never really answered my question directly, why does sucking dick imply a secret/subservient relationship?

Yeah, enough to assume you know everything, more than lifelong speakers of it.

but I still am constantly surprised by regional idioms

This isn’t a regional idiom and is something used on the internet constantly.

You said “subservient”, not me, so maybe also take that one to your therapist too. (this is clearly a word choice you would judge someone else for)

I wrote a simple explanation but I’ll try ONE last time with an example. If someone at your workplace was always covering for a coworker that is fucking up, you might think “hmm I wonder if they are involved”.

Having said that, again you are indicating on several levels a lack of genuine curiosity so there’s little chance I’ll respond again.
