Not my meme obvs but it’s been suddenly happening to me again
Could be your body needs the water to flush out the trash in your brain while you sleep and runs out before its done
Every once in a great while I’ll suddenly awaken to violent, parched coughing from dehydration. It’s no fun at all, so I try not to go to sleep thirsty.
How’s the humidity in your home?
all my problems of suddenly waking up in the middle of the night to drink a whole glass of water and splash my face in the sink were solved when i got a humidifier
r u a plant?
yes
I shall speak kindly to you, provide CO2 and watch you thrive.
Sleeping with the mouth open? Drinking alcohol right before bed?
Maybe. But sometimes you just need a nice cup of water :)
“What about it?”
“ThErE’s ToO MuCh In YoU, gEt Up AnD PeE.”
Reminds me of this part in The Simpsons Guy:
Meg: I matter.
Lisa: Louder!
Meg: I MATTER!!!
Peter: Shut up Meg, you don’t matter!
Wooter-hice
Your unconscious brain long to be back in the ocean
My problem is different
- Waking up at >9:30
- Me: ‘cof, cof’ njmgrhaa
- My body: coffee
- Me: arglksdfr?
- My Body: COFFEE
Dayly routine of an old retiree
I used to get insatiable thirst in the middle of the night. Then I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and got my blood sugar under control and it doesn’t happen so much anymore.
Turk from Scrubs taught me this.
And when/if you get 50+ you’ll be doing it drain out
Wah’er
Diabetes
A guy I studied with had a gene defect that prevented his body from producing proper amounts of antidiuretic hormone. He had to literally set his alarm at night to wake up to hydrate.
What’s going on, we can make it three days without water but not a single night?!
Your body retains water through the kidneys. Antidiuretic hormone (or vasopressin) is what tells your kidneys to hold onto water instead of discarding it into the bladder. Which is why you feel parched after a night out drinking, ethanol hinders the production of ADH. Multiply that by 25 and you have the poor dude.
If you are getting super dehydrated overnight you might be diabetic, might want to get checked.
(Thats how I found out I was diabetic… that and the leg/foot cramps.)
Not sure if diabetes or histamine attack. Time suggests anon is eating too much histamine
