Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter has died. He was 100 years old and had spent roughly 22 months in hospice care.

    He / They walked the entire inaugural parade, like right out of the gate he tried to set a standard. I watched it live, listening to adults around me, not understanding until a decade later what he had actually done.
