An investigation has uncovered multiple ‘rape chats’ where thousands of men discuss how to rape and sexually assault women including their own mothers and sisters.

The groups, which have up to 70,000 members from a variety countries, meet on the encrypted messaging app Telegram to share pictures and even live videos of sexual abuse.

Members have also claimed to have assaulted their wives and female family members with some even sharing advice and instructions on how to do it.

In one shocking instance, a German man said he would sedate his wife and allow other men to sexually assault her.

The existence of the so-called ‘rape chats’ were discovered over the course of a year-long investigation by German broadcaster ARD and its STRG_F investigative team.

Considering there were sexual abuse cults pre-internet era, I found these stories when they mention the name of the app such as “telegram” is a conditioning attempt to enforce anti-privacy laws. After they implement these laws we never hear about such stories again.

Stories like these make me lose all faith in men as a whole. We are just the worst. And distressing that this reminds me of the groups of dudes that have conferences all over the world where they tell each other “molestation stories” of little boys, which they say they “totally don’t do”. I forget their name and no way I’m going to Google it.

I’m not disputing the facts in this specific case not having investigated it, but you should really never use the Daily Mail as a source for anything.

This is a lie. Telegram groups are not end-to-end encrypted. Just another failed excuse to steal control of our own devices, our own computing.

The other source, the Daily Telegraph, has a paywall/sign up requirement. There’s a link in the article if you prefer that.

They endorsed Boris at one point so I’m still sus, if the AP picks it up I’ll be less so. Either way like I said I’m sure these exist, the world is shit, but coming from the mail makes me think they are setting up for some anti immigration angle

Well yeah, when the Gisele Pelicot case started, everyone should’ve expected this. Her piece of shit husband was on forums like that and had no problem finding dozens of men to rape his wife while she was drugged. I’m furious but I’m also so tired. At least I wouldn’t have to worry that I’d trusted the bear and built a life with the bear and the bear was secretly raping me and sharing it on the goddamn internet.

And you know these guys are all posting in right wing forums about the dangers of scary trans people using the “wrong” bathrooms.

How the hell does this have this many upvotes?

Fuck these people - they are objectively awful, and every single one of them should be on trial - but no, burning the whole planet down to spite these fuckers is not even in the ballpark of reasonable.

Every single one of them should be on trial. Every one convicted should be labeled a dangerous offender and never see the light of day again for the rest of their lives.

    No leniency. No mercy.
