Just the suspect carrying the gun, fake IDs, and a handwritten manifesto criticizing health insurance companies.

I dunno, if I’m on a jury that all sounds like circumstantial evidence to me…

You’ve got to wonder if he wanted to be caught.

Otherwise, why keep the gun and fake IDs you used?

He was clearly a very intelligent individual from what sources who knew him say and he was at an Ivy League school, so it doesn’t track that you’d keep all that incriminating evidence with you if you didn’t want to be brought to justice. Maybe he wants the spectacle of a trial.

That would be my guess. He ditched the back pack to be found. Why wouldn’t he have ditched the other evidence? It’s like he wanted to be caught.

If it is him, let him speak in court. Let the whole nation listen and relate to his story of being fucked over, or a family member or multiple being fucked over by UHC, I bet he has more than one occasion. It will be like music to my ears as the corpo lawyers try to dehumanize his justification. “No, you see, we denied the child cancer treatment because there was a cheaper option!” They can’t do it without sounding like the monsters they are.

Possibly, but you’d get further by getting new guns and fake ids along the way.

It says he has a couple degrees in computer science and engineering, graduated school as valedictorian and college cum laude. So it’s clear this was a gifted individual.
