Are you denying Israel has the right to start World War III due to its half century of barbaric apartheid occupation and abuse of the Palestinian people?

Annihilating your neighbors because they refuse to bow down to your genocidal regime is self defense!

Iran’s limited strikes on a system they know will block 99.99% of missiles? Or Israel invading another country?

I need that goose to chase these bad faith headlines around.

I can’t see Israel not accelerating towards fascism and repression after the last year. But I wouldn’t ascribe this to Hamas planning because they haven’t shown themselves to be that strategic or intelligent.

      FTA:

Hezbollah has been sending rockets into northern Israel since the start of the Gaza war, which began after Hamas and other militants invaded Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, and killed nearly 1,200 people.

Do you think the article should rephrase this section?

Yes you are right, Hezbollah are acting in accordance to international law and taking actions to stop a genocide as well as defending themselves, which is perfectly reasonable.

“The conflict” the article is discussing is very clearly referring to the current war, and distinguishes this from previous shadow wars. The preamble also specifies the context of “the conflict.”

The Middle East is in much more volatile situation than it was even a year ago. This conflict has expanded far outside of fighting primarily between Israel and Hamas.

Ah yes, historic grievances again. The context of the article is clearly spelled out, as described previously. My discussion of the matter is pertinent to the content of the article, and I myself am not attempting to broaden context in order to force an angle the article isn’t making.

If I hit your face for 10 minutes straight and then stop 30 seconds (to take breath) and right then you hit me back, can I say “I wasn’t hiting you! You are the aggressor! I have the right to retaliate!”?

                historic grievances again

                Oh the irony.

and I myself am not attempting to broaden context in order to force an angle the article isn’t making.

Why are people who defend Israel always such insufferable weasels?

You’re hiding behind an article that already takes things out of context and then you act as though it is the right thing to do to not provide any.

Of course you can’t “broaden the context”, or your entire point would fall apart. This is what Israel and its supporters do, they pick an arbitrary point in time, pretend that the conflict started then, and use that as an excuse to escalate.

I find it extremely insulting to mine and our collective intelligence when someone tries to argue otherwise. Nobody buys your victim complex anymore, have some decency and self respect and stop peddling it.

America and Biden are losing all credibility on the world stage. You can’t claim to be the “world police” and advocate for an ethical solution while doing what they did. For all of Bidens’ accomplishments, such as the infrastructure bill and the chips act, this disaster will be his legacy. The career politician who ran on being the best choice for both domestic and foreign relations who couldn’t rein in his attack dog despite having all the power to do so.
