ALBAWABA - Egyptian comedian Bassem Youssef went viral on Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter) when the individual’s account was removed from the platform after criticizing Israelis using “Antisemitism” as a fear tactic to shut down conversations and scare people into talking their minds.

Users claimed that the post in question was the reason Bassem Youssef was allegedly removed on X and yet again judged Musk for promising “freedom of speech” on the platform but censoring pro-Palestine accounts but not pro-Israel ones.

    I disagree with your view on this matter.

    I am against censorship, including self-censorship.

    Our western media is owner-class media, which includes all popular social media as well.

    IMO: You will never win over the working class if you keep running away from everything.

    I am more for being active and sharing diverse ideas everywhere you can reach an audience, not just the ones that think like you want them to or the ones that agree with your way of thinking.

    We must continue to try and learn, as well as discuss, with all of the working class, not just our tribal groups.

    Echo chambers are not healthy for our society.

        I thought I said a good amount, tangents and all.

        Getting away from owner-class media is unaviodable to most, since Lemmy likes MSM sources and their Media Bias sites.

        Back to X:

        I also try to get information from independent journalists and the working class so as to share diverse ideas and push against my own bias, so I will continue to travel the high seas (popular social media).

      If you don’t like censorship, don’t use the platform of neo-nazis. A for-profit company isn’t your freedom buddy. Debating with Israelis on Twitter about the weaponization of the term anti-semitism sounds like one of the stupidest things I’ve heard today. What a fucking troll
