India is globally the third largest producer of renewable energy and 40 percent of all new energy plants are renewable energy. Also, if you think about it, do you really think it’s possible to generate extra electricity from wind and solar and hydroelectric on demand? Naturally, if your demand goes up, you can only burn more fuel. The best way to do this would be to consume nuclear fuel which India already is moving towards, but the current infrastructure is still significantly reliable on coal.
Also, if you want to blame global heat on India, I would recommend looking at per capita statistics instead of punching down at a country which had all of its resources stripped by a nation which built its wealth on colonialism
